Cut the pieces of film so they measure about 2-3cm larger than the window panes being covered. 2. Peel off the transparent back side of the film. 3. Generously spray enough water/dish washing liquid mix with water onto the window surface. The water makes it easier to position the film and helps hold it on the window. 4. Apply from top to bottom, for large size window, two people is recommended. 5. Use squeegee to push the bubbles out. We have installation kit for sale. 6. Trim the extra film. Tips: 1. Newspaper or waste paper is ideal to remove tiny spots on window surface, these spots will create bubbles on your finishing. 2. Generously spray dish washing liquid water onto the exposed back side of the film makes the separation easier. 3. Be sure the window is dripping wet, if it becomes dry, rewet it completely before applying film. 4. Apply in early morning or late evening when the glass is cooler to avoid Bubbles/spots. 5. Please make sure to leave 2mm (0. 08 inches) gap between the film and the window frame since there are sealant glue or painting residue left on the corner. When heat expands, the film will easily fell off.

Keeps prying eyes from seeing in
I have some nosey kids next door that don’t know about privacy. When they come over they knock and press their faces up against the glass to see in my house. So I got this to keep prying eyes from seeing into the house. I was able to install this in about 5-10 mins. I used a spray bottle with some water and dawn and it worked perfect. I totally recommend this product

Energy saver with a good look
It took awhile to get around to installing, but the difference was immediately noticeable. Our foyer is much cooler now and the AC runs less. The whole room/area feels more comfortable and the privacy is helpful too. Importantly, the appearance from outside is not much different. You can’t see inside but it’s hard to tell what you are/aren’t seeing. There’s no glare or obvious mirror effect visible from the street. If my wife would let me, I’d put this stuff on half the windows in the house and I bet our energy costs would drop 30%.

Privacy increases and heat decreases
I love that I can have the blinds open without loosing privacy!! This product was easy to put up once you figured out how. The instructions on the box are different than whats on amazon. The film comes off as you are putting it on, not after. The heat level really decreased but still enough light for my African Violets to bloom.

See the daylight, but keep your privacy.
Good product. In my case, I applied it to a door and two windows where light was desired during the day while affording privacy day and night with no hassles. This product delivered. I am no expert, but I found installation easy. I actually went to the Home Depot and got the installation kit made by Gila and it worked great.

Maybe not good for hot sunny areas
I followed the instructions exactly. The doors I put them on are in a very sunny area. When I first put them on it was perfect and I loved it but As soon as they dry they got all bubbles and air pockets ( I promise I installed these flawlessly and even ordered a spray bottle and a squeegee)

Wouldn’t stick to glass
Product looked great and instructions clear... Followed all the directions exactly and couldn’t make it stick. Ended up throwing it away because we cut it out already and couldn’t repurpose the product. If u are hoping to make a room more private by covering the glass, try a different product.

Great for sliding glass door privacy
I used this for some extra privacy at our apartment on the sliding glass doors. It actually seems a bit brighter than before! I did not buy a kit to install, but realized that you definitely want to spray well underneath while you install. It makes it much more smooth and made all the difference. Great product! With mistakes it took 20 mins to install.
