It is a solid rod used for GTAW TIG welding but does NOT produce slag. That is an error in the description and I will have removed. apologies.

What ia the best choice for tig filler metal for cast iron repair welding that needs to be machined?

In my opinion, either ERNI99 filler or BD-5000T filler

Is 100% Argon the best gas choice for this rod?

It's the gas I use, very clean weld.
