Birds love it, so do the Squirrels
This is one of my go to suet buys. It does not melt in hot weather and the birds, especially the woodpeckers, really love it all through the year. It is best to hang this where the birds can get to it but the four footed animals cannot.

Bird feed
We have a large wood pecker that feeds regularly on this feed.

Best bird cakes I've tried
The woodpeckers and other larger birds love it!! Sometimes a yellow warbler will get a nibble too. I've tried a few different varieties and brands and this one is the best for me in the Mid Atlantic region

Love it
Attracts many birds. Only flaw which has to do with handling and delivery is that some were broken in half.

My Local Woodpeckers Love This Suet!
What a deal! These Suet Plus suet cakes are truly a value in today's market and the birds I feed will swear to in court! They depend on us for their survival through the winter months and we depend on Amazon to make it economically feasible. Tweet, Tweet, Tweet, y'all and thanks!

It's for the birds!
I've purchased the double pack several times and it's an economical way to get the suet my wild birds crave. Different birds have different food requirements so remember they aren't for all types of birds, but ground feeders will clean up any bits that may fall.I feed all year round and have two suet cages to limit the fighting. In Maryland Winters they draw tufted titmouse, various woodpeckers, flickers and nuthatch. In Spring and Summer add starlings, blackbirds and red-winged blackbirds as well. They are great for all of the fat-craving birds and I love that they don't melt away to nothing when it gets hot.

Birds love it
The birds love this suet doesn't last long. My only problem the cost of shipping.

If woodpeckers had thumbs they'd be up for these suet cakes!
I put out a four-cake feeder and filled it with these then waited about 10 minutes for the first bird - a female downy woodpecker - to sample the new offering. Since then I watch the downy and hairy woodpeckers compete for a place to eat the suet. That alone makes me say these are a good buy BUT there is the overall uniformity of mixture and size of individual cakes that only adds to overall quality of the product. I am sure to buy more in the near future.

Good deal until you practically double the price with shipping. Will look for something else next time.
