Great Bipod; pick S-BR or S-BRM carefully
Excellent bipod. I am transferring it between several weapons by way of purchasing extra mounts for the weapons that need them, and/or the standard front sling stud on weapons that already have that. The bipod itself is very rugged, and works well. Please note there is a difference between the S-BR and S-BRM:Both have folding springs. These are visible in the photo.S-BR (the one this review is linked to) has springs inside the legs that SHORTEN the legs when unlocked. The locking mechanism is a KNOB plus a slot/plate that can engage only at the longest position. This means that two hands are needed to adjust the legs. It can be done with one hand, awkwardly... but not from behind in a prone position. On the other hand, each leg can take on any length... there are no 'slots' in the S-BR.S-BRM has springs inside the legs that LENGTHEN the legs when unlocked. The locking mechanism is a 'button' plate that engages in SLOTS in the legs. This setup allows you to reach forward, while in prone position, push the 'button' and lengthen or shorten a leg by tilting the weapon assembly on the other leg... the lengthening spring will cause the leg you are adjusting to 'follow' the ground. Release the button at the desired length and you are ready to go.S-BR is easier to adjust when the bipod is not in contact with the ground.S-BRM is easier to adjust when the bipod is in contact with the ground, including while in prone position 'On Target' on your weapon. Both work great; just pick the one that adjusts the way you desire.

Purchased as a gift. He loved it, mounted easily to his gun and is sturdy, well built.

Best dang bipod I've ever owned!
Nothing else to say, just the best bipod I've ever owned. Lightweight, easy to mount, use, and adjust. Holds your rifle VERY steady with no fuss or wiggling around at all. Definitely worth the price over any of the cheap crap that's out there...

Good stuff from Harris
This is a good bipod that works as it should. The length is best suited for bench or barricade use. Prone shooting needs the next size up.

Good Harris Bipod
This is pretty solid and works awesome. Decent price for a Harris bipod so I bought another

Stand out
Used/bought this for a 1000yard class, I think if I would buy another one I would get the one with the different slots on the legs, tried locking it halfway from full extension to fully retracted and that only lasted 2 rounds. other than that it's a Harris the OG of bipods.

Quality as usual
I own many Harris bipods and they are all quality. A little on the pricy side but these are definitely in the buy once cry once category.
