Effective, but would probably go for something else next time
This is our first go around with a paw balm/treatment so I’m not really sure we have much to compare it to. I ordered because our lab has a small crack on her back paw and when I looked it up, most vets recommended a paw protectant. Overall, I think it gets the job done. I haven’t noticed that it has helped our dog’s paw much, but we’ve only been using it a few days. My one complaint is that it’s super hard, more like a dried wax than a balm or a lotion. I have to use a small spatula to carve it out of the container, which makes it messy and difficult to use. Our dog is hesitant about humans touching her paws, so the fact that it takes a while to get out of the jar while she’s watching me and anticipating my move towards her paw makes our nightly moisturizing time pretty unpleasant. Our dog also seems to lick it off as soon as we put it on her, which is more of a complaint about the dog than the product.

170 mies of perfect paws!
Used this product every night for my dog's pads while hiking the 70 mile Tahoe Rim Trail, CA & NV. Diligent cleaning of her pads, followed by this balm and a good night's rest kept her pads from cracks and tears even on the snow, ice, and hot granite rocks. This stuff is amazing and scent-free. It can be messy, but not a big deal when camping and used before bed when she was too tired to lick them or step into any dirt.

Great for everyday paw protection as well as the trail!
My Norwich Terrier is a serious trail dog ... ok, so he's small enough that he sometimes hitches a ride, but let's talk! Last week he and I trekked 50+ miles in the GA Cohutta Wilderness covering every kind of terrain from dirt and mud, to river rocks and gravel FS roads. Not a cut or tear to his paws in 6 days! Our evening camp routine includes a nightly brush (to remove those burrs) and an complete paw balm foot massage (including a free taste or two!) . This stuff is awesome and I recommend PawLife for your Trail or City Dog too!

Helps for dogs with hyperkeratosis!
We used this product for our girl's paw pads because she has hyperkeratosis and suffers from growth and cracking problems. Within a week, her paw pads were noticeably less cracked and were nearly soft to the touch (as opposed to rough). We have had a very tough and cold winter this year and our girl loves going to the dog park so I always like to put some on before and after, to protect and remoisturize her paws. My only complaint is that it is somewhat difficult to get the product out of the container, as it is fairly stiff until it warms up, so I find myself scraping the product with my nails to get it out.

Grease like
Really oil like. Dog slips on floors with it on. Also will leave spots on furniture when applied. It helped our dogs rough paw pads, but definitely didn't cure them. Will go with a different product.

PAWLIFE Dog Balm saved my little schnauzer from snow burn.
Wow the PAWLIFE DOG PAW BALM worked extremely well on my little schnauzer. I wasn’t totally hopeful when purchasing as I didn’t see how this product could possible keep my girls feet from the extreme cold and snow. The day before PAWLIFE DOG BALM arrived my girl would raise her feet and almost limp from the cold, hard, below zero snow. After I applied this PAWLIFE she ran out and did her business all the while keeping her feet on the ground and even stayed out longer. I’m glad I found this product. This will be my “go-to” next winter.

What you see is what you get
This is a very no-nonsense product that works very well. The packaging of the product is very substantial and in a very nice tin. I love how moisturizing the product is. It isn't too greasy or slick for our pup to walk on the floor after rubbing it in. He did sniff at it the first few times, but didn't lick it off or disturb it. It has little to no scent, and it seems to have formed a good protective barrier for the paw pad. Haven't tested through the harsh winter and summer yet, but I think it will definitely be much much better than nothing!

Works Well
This stuff really works. Only takes a little bit every once in awhile. Only complaint would be we probably wont use all of it in our dogs’ lifetime -product could be a quarter of the size and cost. They do like to lick it, so you have to keep your dog distracted a bit when you put it on.
