Simple, affordable and effective
I really enjoy being able to dim all the LED lights around my house. They need to be bright - some of the time - but at other times this can be excessive. These dimmers are very easy to install, and work perfectly (provided that all the LEDs in any one fixture are dimmable, ideally of the same type). I specially like the push-push on-off switch, because people using my older slider dimmers sometimes just slid them down to a very low low, not completely off. The only thing that baffles me is that the dimmers, when shaken, sound s if there are a whole lot of loose bits and pieces inside. That doesn't seem to affect their functioning, but we'll have to see how long they last.

Great value
Great value and works great. I went to a hardware store locally and found this for $25.00 so I was very happy to pay under $10. Works great and was easy to install. This comes with both a white and a cream button to match your plate(not included). Just what I was looking for,

Good for the price
It works fine with LED bulbs. The toggle action feels loose/flimsy, compared with others, but it is not a deal breaker.

Easy to install, inexpensive, MASSIVE UPGRADE!
When I was a kid, I remember discovering the existence of dimmers, and thought they were amazing! But my dad said they were really expensive, and then you have to hire an electrician, so it's even more expensive.HE WAS SO WRONG!I don't have a lot of experience doing DIY electrical work, but I've installed a few light fixtures. This was MUCH easier to install. Of course, you do need to understand the basics of household electricity, but some YouTube videos ought to do the trick. This was not hard to install!I installed a very bright light fixture with lots of bare Edison bulbs over my kitchen table, and we found it blinding! A dimmer was the solution! Now we can have bright light when we want it for working on projects at the kitchen table, or much softer lighting at meals.I LOVE IT.It's easy to tap the knob to turn it on and off, and easy to twist the knob to adjust the brightness. There are much more expensive dimmers out there, but I can't imagine why you would want anything more complicated than this!I love that the design is very plain, so it doesn't draw attention to itself, and that it comes with two colors of knobs to make sure it matches your switchplate.FYI, you don't need a special switchplate! I was looking all over Amazon to find a specialty wall plate for a dimmer, but turns out, you just use a regular light switch cover plate, and the knob covers up the rectangular hole for the old light switch.I realized I had a lighting problem in my bedroom, too. I got bedside lamps and smart bulbs for them, so I could have softer lighting that didn't blind me when I laid down in bed, because the chandelier hanging in the center of the room DID blind me! So I ordered another of these dimmer switches, and installed it myself in a few minutes. PROBLEM SOLVED. Now I can dim the chandelier!Just be aware that not all LED bulbs are dimmable. The bulbs in my chandelier act up every now and then, flickering unpleasantly for about a minute. But then they stop. I will probably replace them sometime, but right now it's not enough of an annoyance. The bulbs in my dining fixture dim just fine, no problems. Since I didn't have dimmers when I purchased the bulbs, I didn't pay any attention to whether they're dimmable, but I will be paying attention to that from now on!

Work well with decent bulbs
Bought two of these to replace existing (circa. 2004) wall dimmers which were not LED compatible.I'm using these with GE brand dimmable LED bulbs and everything is working perfectly - Dimming very smoothly & consistently throughout the brightness range. It was annoying to have to replace my old dimmer switches to support LED bulbs, but I am very happy with this purchase.

Easy wiring with dimming adjustment
This dimmer is effective for LED bulbs. It has an adjustment for very low watt dimming. In addition, house wires connect directly to the dimmer, no wire nuts, and they do not wrap around screws. Instead, straight wire ends are placed into a large area clamp and tighted with the screw that is usually used to wrap the wires making a good and easy connection. I am dimming a 12 W LED bulb with no flickering & no buzz.

Issues Installing
Replacing a wall switch with a dimmer should be a ten-minute job at worst. Mine took much, much longer. The first issue was the push-a-stripped-wire-into-the-hole connections just wouldn't work. Whatever was supposed to grip the wire wasn't making contact -- nothing would grab the wire. A design flaw? A production defect? Hard to say.So I had to make all my connections using the screw terminals. It would have been easy if the screws would have screwed out far enough. It also might have helped if those screws would have stayed in place instead of flopping in and out while I tried to fish the wires under them.It was simply hard and frustrating trying to make those connections. I spent a lot of time running into the basement and the garage hunting up tools. It turned that 10-minute job into something more like a half-hour.The good news is that once I had those connections the dimmer worked perfectly first time. My experience with such devices is they are very reliable. I have never had one fail. So with luck I won't ever have to mess with this one again.
