Dimensions Dimensions Nelepoint: Cottage Retreat

I have been working on this cross stitch for a month. It is the largest project I have attempted. I have completed a quarter of it so far and it looks absolutely amazing. The colours are much more vibrant in real life. I cannot wait to finish it. The chart is very small so I had to get enlarged and there are an awful lot of threads so I have put them in individual bags to ensure they do not get lost and mixed up. It is worth every penny.

I absolutely love this kit. I’ve started stitching it already. Haven’t had a Dimension’s kit before so the layout of the instructions was new to me. Instructions are relatively clear and the threads are fabulous. Comes with everything you need. Pattern is clear and easy to follow. It’s a large enough project, so may be intimidating for beginners. However, it’s presented well and with a bit of care taken, a beginner should be able to do this without much bother. The colours of the floss are beautiful and the stitches are large and puffy. I’m typically stitching on 25ct fabric but this fabric is 14ct and much larger than I’m used to. I’m definitely going to buy more Dimensions kits.

An absolutely stunning cross stitch, evoking nostalgic feelings of Christmas. This will be brought out at home for every Christmas as part of the seasonal decorations. Choose your supplier with care though, as the prices can vary considerably.

The only complaint I would have is in regard to how the floss is packaged. The ends are loose, which encourages tangles if one is not careful to avoid them. Other kits wrap the floss on long bobbin cards rather than allowing it to hang loosely. The floss is also not arranged in number order, making it a search to find each one as needed. Other than these minor things, the quality is good and the chart easy to follow. Looking forward to seeing it finished. So far, it is working up beautifully.
