⚠️Warning this Will not blow up⚠️ great heater highly recommend read review.
It’s been seven months since I’ve bought this heater it’s had been keeping the temperature pretty good and it even tho it does hover at 72-73.5 degrees Fahrenheit I have this way because my dojo pond loach’s have to have water below 80 degrees Fahrenheit or they will experience fungal infections and ich infections there a cold water fish used to cooler temperatures somewhat similar to gold fish which are actually a cold water fish and I have a albino mini pleco algae eater some people would call it measuring in at 5 inches last time I checked and the pleco’s like temperatures in the early 70’s and early 80’s 72-82 degrees Fahrenheit is a lil bit warmer but not too much so 72 is the appropriate temperature and the Cory’s like warmer temperatures as well hovering in at early 70’s to the early 80’s 72-82 degrees Fahrenheit so to keep everyone happy or at least satisfied I keep it at 72 degrees Fahrenheit and even this it does go up a few degrees that’s fine as long as it doesn’t go below past 79 degrees Fahrenheit that fine but let’s get into the heart of the subject:how long will this cheap heater last?🤔 well for the last seven months it’s held up pretty well so I’ll eyeball it five eight years approximately not sure like I said “eyeballing” it.subject2safety well it’s hasn’t made my tank become a boiling pot of loach food so that’s a plus and it hasn’t burnt up,melted, exploded, glass or heater either or shattered, hasn’t,stopped working, cord or heater electrocuted the fish and hasn’t busted the tank which is 35 gallon bowfront aquarium to pieces like a ticking time bomb and thickness of this cheap heater well it seems to be the last time I put it in and also had felt it which I touched it because I was trying to see if it was working yes it is still working and I have three thermometers on the tank one inside of the tank and reads the temperature outside the tank it’s the one that it comes with and this is not gonna blow up in my hands or fish tank question NO it’s not gonna be so cheap that’s it’s gonna be like a cracker this if you ask me is 4th or 5th in the top five list of best heaters on the aquariumist market 1st being eheim 2nd fluval 3rd being probably United because I searched it up and so….any way fourth being I guess yes orlushy brand and fifth I guess because my mother’s tetra fish heater didn’t stop working or melt I’ll put Tetra in at 5th place because well that’s what I’ve SOMEWHAT have experience on anyway great heater highly recommended and will be buying another one of this or another variant if this brand this brand has really surprised me yet….but for now yes great heater Godbless!

Reliable Heater That Keeps Perfect Temperature — Even in a Cold Garage
I bought this aquatic heater for my red-eared slider turtle, and it has been working great. It keeps the water at a perfect, consistent temperature, which is extremely important for turtle health—especially since my turtle is currently housed in a cold garage. Despite the colder environment, the heater maintains the set temperature without any fluctuations. It feels well-built and durable, which is important in a turtle tank where equipment can get bumped around. Installation was easy, and once set, it requires very little maintenance. Overall, this heater has been reliable, efficient, and gives me peace of mind knowing my turtle stays warm even in a colder space. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone keeping a red-eared slider or other aquatic turtle.

Working
It took a little to get the temperature correct but is working fine now. We had to follow the trouble shooting guidelines.

Heater works well
Heater appears to be well made, and keeps my aquarium within 1 degree of the targeted temperature. Arrived in good condition, no breakage, and within a lot of protective foam. Have used it for about 1 1/2 months.

Budget heaters that come with flaws - Ignore the 4.5 stars and use caution
Alright, so first things first. These heaters work, they just do not work as advertised. They do not provide a 21 F temp range. Maybe 15 in ideal conditions, and much less than that in semi-cold environments (60 F). I have three 300W's, 1 150W, and 1 100W. A 300W is perfectly suitable for a 40-gallon breeder. A 100W is suitable for a 10G. A 150W is suitable for a 20G. But, when you crank these devices to maximum power, an indoor pond of fewer than 180 gallons including an insulated bottom will not go over 75F from 60F. That's a measily 15 degrees with some serious power usage: 1,150 watts. This is not ideal for my Tilapia which require 80-86 for optimal growth and breeding. The black things on the bottom always come off. I don't even know why they bother. I believe the included (and very ghetto) temperature gauge is purely an incentive to make a cheap and inefficient product seem a good alternative to more expensive heaters. If you are running basic tanks indoors, and do not care about looks, or having to constantly fiddle with the temperature gauge knowing that it's never going to be the temp it says, this may be a bargain for you. I don't mind using them in my 40G breeder, 20GL or 10G Fry tanks. However, these are cheap for a reason. I would take that into consideration before buying them depending on your particular needs. Also, raising the prices 3+ dollars is, well, how do I put it - sending me in a new direction. These were barely a bargain due to the flaws before. I will not pay those prices for an inferior product; I will drop extra money on a better heater. I suggest you are more honest in your advertising, if my fish didn't need the heaters to survive I'd already have returned them as products that do not work as advertised. I highly advise against these heaters for anything but cheap aquarium setups. The price of all the heaters I bought combined has me wishing I'd chosen to raise trout instead. It takes my aquaculture hobby which uses next to no power and demands at least another 300 watts on top of the 1,150w I already have. That's a lot of power, which creates a big power bill. I advise you to go with another brand and save yourself this headache if you can afford too.

It doesnt keep the right temp very good
Easily assembled! Its an average heater but barely keeps the temp i set it for so i had to set it 2 degrees higher just to barely get to the right temp.

Best heather I have bought and I have tried many. The temperature control look knob is easy to adjust and works smoothly. The overall quality is great. The glass casing his quite thick and sturdy. Easy to adjust and precise. The thermometer supplied with the heater is also excellent. Great deal, i highly recommend.

It explained in the ad, that it held the temperature well, but the temperature you set it to, might be off by a few degrees, and then you adjust it. I seldom see this kind of honesty in advertising. My problem was the lowest temperature you can set it for is 68 degree F. Which is fine, as that is the temperature I wanted. Unfortunately, it kept the temp between 69.5 and 70, so there was no way to lower it. But, hey, I knew the risk going in. I can live with 70, if I have to.

The heater seems to be reliable after a months use. The digital thermometer however reads 10F too high. Seems well built, good value. *UPDATE* After 8 months use, the top of the heater started leaking at the power cords entry in the cap. Glass browned and at 9 months I stopped using it as thermostat wasn't reliable and electrical shorting became a serious concern.

Bought August 2020, it started malfunctioning April 2024. Noticed that the water was very hot and my snail was boiled. Temp read 89F with an external thermometer, when it was set to 76F. I only paid 27$ for it back then, so I got my value for my money.
