I have at least 6 or 7 on my ranch. They work great. I have them at every water trough for my horses. I have them at least 2 1/2 ft buried. Never had one freeze. We can get to -10 degrees in the winter, and I live in sunny California. I put a 1/8 street 90 on the drain and a 8" X 2' PVC pipe filled with gravel around the pipe. No chance of having trapped water. The brass valve requires a 3/4 fitting on the bottom. I use a Brass street 90. Then a length of metal pipe at least 2' long. Then PVC after that. The pipe rests on a 8X8X16 concrete block. This supports the weight. I will order them again. Amazon is cheaper than my local hardware store and I don't have to drive 20 minutes one way to get it. They deliver.

I received this nice heavy duty piece of equipment in a weeks time. I followed the install instructions of numerous reviewers and with a few trips to the local hardware store, I got all of the accessories to make this an easy install to go with my outdoor sink and garden hose. What's really nice is it does not natively impede the flow of water down like a standard hose bib.

Was what I expected, although they are showing a little rust in places already. Easy to install.

This is simple and stout....a good product made in the USA. I'm glad that we have it to replace a crummy Chinese one that only lasted....what? 15 years?! That's pretty good.....I guess. OK...you Chinese guys do OK, too....the one you made just wasn't as nice as this one. A good product that will last at a good price. Thanks, Simmons!

Great easy to put in and look good

It has worked well even in freezing weather. Installation was easy; just needed the right components for the drip drain and connection to the water line.
