Perfect poached eggs!
This makes poaching eggs a breeze. I have tried to make them in boiling water, but it was messy to say the least. This egg poacher does a great job making the eggs cook and come out just right. You can adjust the cooking time to your liking depending on how cooked you like the yolks. I usually cook them for 6 minutes. It is easy to clean and by adding just a little bit of butter, your eggs slide out very easily!

Easy to use
I used it immediately upon delivery because I had purchased two different things so I wanted to see if the cheaper item worked so I could return the other. The cups were bigger than the pan I had bought and it was easy to find a pan for the item to sit in to cook. Took less than 5 minutes and the egg was perfect. Sprayed the cup and the egg came right out after I tipped it over. I know I have read reviews of some of these egg poaching pans where people complain the coating comes off, etc. This was so inexpensive that if that happens, no big deal. (I am still trying to scour antique shops for what my Mom had because I think they were bigger cups, so maybe I will find one before it peels if it is going to.) I think it's because people don't care for them properly and maybe put the cups in the dishwasher. If you prep the cup right, you don't really have much - if any - cleanup to do after use, so it's no problem to wash by hand. I would recommend this - especially considering the price is so low.

The Very Dab!
Sometime a few months ago I realized how much I love poached eggs. But I've never liked the process of doing them in water as it's messy and you lose a lot of that great egg white protein. So I looked for a poacher and found this. I've gone from rarely having a poached egg to once a day! It works great in a little saute pan that I have with a lid that fits perfectly over it. The suggestions about not boiling the water so that it doesn't splash, etc are all very good. It is non-stick but I learned today the egg doesn't unstick easily in the cup only. Everytime until today I have put a little dab of butter (forgot today) in each egg cup and the eggs have come out easily and perfectly. I thought that was mostly due to the non-stick. It's partially due to the non-stick. If you want the egg to slide out easily and the cup easy to clean, put a little dab of butter, oil, olive would be yummy, in before the egg to give it that little extra. I like that I can make one egg or four! Highly recommend!

Easy Operation
I like the way the unit sits in a pot. You need a pot that's 8 inches in diameter to fit it in. It poaches eggs nicely and the cups are plenty big enough to add other ingredients, like veggies. But while the instructions recommend adding a thin coating of oil to the cups to facilitate easier cleanup, they also say that the non-stick surface itself is good enough for relatively easy cleaning. But that's not really true in my experience. The first time I used it without oil and no amount of soaking would soften the cooked-on egg enough to clean it with even a non-scratch cleaning pad. My only option that I could figure out was to use my thumbnail to scrape it all off. Luckily I hadn't cut my nails in nearly two weeks, so they were long enough to do the job. And fingernails are soft enough they don't seem to scratch these non-stick surfaces. But it took a loooong time to scrape away all the cooked-on egg.So definitely, if you want easy cleanup at all, then use oil in the cups...

Nonstick
My son made his first eggs without a hiccup! The eggs came out perfect and was nonstick! Easy for clean up and they slid out with braking the yolk. Works perfectly for a great price.

replaced all of my other egg poaching things
I prefer my poached eggs to have a completely runny but warm yolk and have the white set as much as possible. I've tried a large variety of other egg poachers from here on Amazon, but this is the nicest one I've used so far. My wife is pleased that I cleared out all the past failed experiments from our cabinets. I got the six-egg version. In hindsight, the max eggs I make at once is four, so the set of four probably would have been sufficient. Now I have two extra cups in case anything happens to the rest.Speaking of the cups, they do work wonderfully for XL and even jumbo eggs, which was always a problem with my previous poachers. I use mostly XL eggs, sometimes L. The cups have a nonstick coating but without any fat/oil they have a weak grip on the cooked egg that can tear it as the egg comes out. A tiny dab of room-temp butter on my fingertip is enough to run it around the bottom and sides of all the cups. The thinnest of coatings is all I need, and when cooked the eggs will just slide right out. Then I crack each egg into its cup. I have to be careful to distribute the weight properly; I made the mistake once of not paying attention which four sites I used in the six-rack and the whole rack swung like a hammock and dumped the eggs on the counter. Oops.I'm still experimenting with recipes, but I'm using a 12" skillet with a lid. For four eggs, I put only about 1 cm of water into the skillet and bring it to a full boil over high heat. I take the lid of just long enough to put the egg poacher in place, and then leave it covered on high heat for 3 min, 45 sec (L) or 4 min (XL). Then I remove the skillet from the heat, remove the lid from the skillet, and let the poacher sit untouched in the water for another 90 seconds. At this point, the eggs are ready to be removed from the cups. The knobs are still too hot to touch, and too small for tongs or an oven mitt or even a silicone grip. I have found a paper towel folded a few times works great for my hands.I put a utensil on the top of the cup to keep the egg from leaping out, and tilt it to the side to drain off any water that fell into the cup from the lid. Then I can transfer the cooked egg to plating. I have a hard time controlling the flip of the egg, it comes out upside down half of the time. The egg will finish the cook as the temperature equalizes and then cools.Normally I use the dishwasher for everything, but I've been handwashing these cups. They feel very thin and I'm a bit worried about the dishwasher eating away the nonstick. Fortunately I have a palm brush that lets me suds them in one motion, and then a quick rinse. I let them dry in their own rack in the cabinet.

Perfect Poached Eggs
This neat little contraption, holding 4 individual egg trays, easily fits into a medium saucepan that you probably have in your cupboard. The egg trays (cups) have a little handle, making it easy to lift each tray out to place on toast or plate. We enjoy using this product daily. It cleans easily.

Works great in instant pot
Works great in instant pot, anywhere from 3to 5 minutes where 5 is the most hard boiled equivalent, 3 would produce a soft runny yolk. The eggs come out thick not skimpy and have a nice presentation. I dropped a star because they are not entirely non-stick, I used a bit of cooking spray and had to use a rubber spatula end to loosen around the egg edges to extract them from the cups. What I love is not having to heat a fry pan and smell the house up, no smell from the instant pot but remember to use the steam button. I did not have any water collection over the egg using this method, the egg was not wet. Careful removing, I wore a little rubber finger cover to lift out of the instant pot and it has an easy little handle in the cups holder for that. the cups wash up easily but use your fingers or a rubber utensil so as not to scratch the lining of trhe cups.
