Kodak Series 10 Printhead - 90 Day Warranty

I had begun seeing an overall orange tint when I printed a photo. After attempting to clean and calibrate the unit without any change, I decided to order a new print head. The installation was very easy and the cost nominal. The new print head resolved the issue and I am again very satisfied with the color quality of my photos when I print them. The unit is about 3 years old and i guess it was time for the replacement.I examined the printhead I removed and did not see the ink build up I was expecting. Apparently if there was any clogging it was in the small ports where I could not see it.

Tried removing and cleaning the old printhead with a 50% water and ammonia solution. Dried, reinstalled and recalibrated but the printing remained blurry - no improvement. Replaced the old printhead with this new one. Recalibrated and ran the clean printhead cycle. All that printed was a blank sheet even after after 2 full cycles. I then waited 5 minutes to let the ink penetrate the printhead's felt spots and the problem was solved. Presently printer works like new. Also cleaning the old printhead might have worked had I soaked it overnight...I didn't as I had the new one handy.As Kodak printheads are matched to the ink cartridge this printhead should work if you use 10b and 10c cartridges in your printer. It should not work on Kodak printers that use 30 series cartridges.

When my print head went out, my heart sank! I knew Kodak was no longer making the wonderful little printer I use for scrapbooking and I hadn't found anything else like it on the market for the price. Kodak advertised the print heads on-line, but gave me the run around when I tried to order one. Then I found them on Amazon and was thrilled. I ordered one, made sure it worked, then ordered several more to have on hand. Again, I am getting high-quality photos directly from my SD card and copies from existing photos. The print heads are sealed in foil packages, protecting them in the mail, and are the exact part I used to get from Kodak. Not only am I able to make great pictures, but I saved the high dollar amount of buying another much more expensive printer. Amazon Prime saved the day!

My Kodak printer(ESP 5250) kept printing as if the ink cartridges were running low on ink, i had tried new ink and do the "clean printhead" thing on the printer and neither had worked. I decided to try this and it worked perfectly, my printer is working like new now. My previous printhead had lasted around 4 years, hoping this one will last that long as well. Also you don't have to buy new ink cartridges to put into the new printhead.

My Kodak Hero 9.1 had lost it's ability to print cleanly.I had also tried using aftermarket inks which I am sure did not help the situation.Obviously the print head had dried out and needed to be replaced. I can't say for sure how much time not being used contributed to the print head getting gummed up vs the use of the aftermarket inks.But I installed this Kodak brand printhead and also purchased the Kodak brand inks which I intend to keep doing.By spending the money to install a new printhead and use the correct Kodak inks it has made my printer operate like itdid when it was brand new. It is an easy tool free installation and I would highly recommend this to replace a damaged printhead if you have oneas they are not expensive. So all is well again within minutes after receiving the printhead and new ink in the mail.Very cheap way to get a decent printer working again.

I bought this to try and salvage my mother's printer, which wasn't very old or used very often. The troubleshooting guide on the Kodak site indicated I needed a new printhead. I followed all the instructions to the letter on how to install it, but the printer still does not work. I noticed after searching quite extensively online that Kodak printers have a history of simply ceasing to print suddenly and a lot of people have bought these new printheads only to just throw more money away. I don't like to just say throw things away, but in the case of a Kodak printer, cut your losses and just buy another printer.

My original problem with this printer was that it would not print black, color was just fine. I went through all the cleaning and adjustment recommendations that people posted, but nothing worked. When I found out the price on this ($15 if I remember) I figured, what the heck, give it a shot.My usual fear with a lot of these electronic parts is that what you receive is not what you think you are receiving and instead it turns out to be some kind of junk Chinese knock-off. This is not the case with this print head. It fit my printer with no problems and it now prints just like a new printer. I am back in business again, and unlike the HP printer that I had a few years ago, I didn't have to junk the entire printer !

It worked right away and was quite a relief as the printer is about seven years old.I thought I was on the Amazon Canadian web site so I was hit with a +25% price increase!I didn't appreciate the con game you guys run with delivery charges.I figured the premium wasn't worth the extra money so opted for the regular even though it would, according to you , take an extra week.It arrived at the 'premium' delivery time - which I assume is the regular time anyway. Not sound long term thinking on your part.As far as Kodak is concerned, I later had to re-install 'new printer' which took 40 minutes to download and re-install and during a process one is never too confident about, it sends messages such as "failed to detect new printer" at the end of the tortuous process and "Restart Download"'I ignored these spurious messages and everything worked once the computer had been restarted.,
