Avoid! Doesn't fit well! Looks good, but UMD cover won't fit on properly!
This shell looks great at first glance. Paint and overall esthetics look great. Once I had my PSP broke down and started reassembly is when I realized the unit was made poorly. It was difficult to reassemble. The screen cover was slightly scratched up and wasn't too clear. The biggest issue I have is with the UMD drive area and cover. The cover doesn't fit properly. This causes the door to not close with a UMD disc inserted. This part of the shell needs to be reworked 100%. I wish I had read the reviews ahead of purchase.

If your buying this to make your PSP a new color DONT!!!
Unless your PSP is so damaged that you can’t use it then buy it but I’m telling you if you just are trying to get a “COOL COLOR” DONT!!!!! First off you could never believe how many parts that have to be removed one by one it’s so overboard and I’m a IT PROFESSIONAL and I had a perfectly home brewed PSP so I thought “I don’t want silver I want blue” big mistake! I’m now on a red one because first try was a bust, and the maker of the molds is pretty much dead on but close only counts in horses shoes and handgranades I’ve had to make so many modifications with my snips not dykes I finally got everything perfect but there’s two cages that cover the processor chips and the each have ten and one has 15 points that need to touch the motherboard plus the rib ion wire connectors are not all the Same some lift the opposite way oh and keep your old on and off switch because the one they give you doesn’t work, it doesn’t lift the power switch high enough! I messed up all because silver wasn’t good enough for me I’m all done now the battery works but the screen doesn’t do now I’m taking it apart for the 5th time wish me the best! It does look dope though on the bright side!:/

Not Quite What I Expected
The product’s alright, but definitely not perfect. I had to trim off some extra plastic, which was kind of a pain. Even after a shell swap, the right trigger still doesn’t feel quite right. The D-pad’s a bit off too, pressing down sometimes registers as right, and the right button feels kind of mushy instead of clicky. Also, I thought it would be a solid brown, but it has some designs on it that weren’t super clear in the photos. Not the worst thing ever, but not what I was hoping for either...

Pretty good fit, make sure to remove protective film
Usually I don’t write reviews because I dont care enough to but I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about scratches on the front screen. Those scratches are only present on the film protecting the screen. At first there doesn’t appear to be a film but I promise if you pick at the corners you’ll notice a really thin protective film. Once I removed that there were no scratches. (There’s also a protective film on the inside of the screen too so be sure to remove that).Fitment was pretty close to oem, didn’t have to file any plastics or make any modifications. My only complaint is the battery door fitment isn’t as tight as I would have liked and there’s a slight gap at the bottom of the umd door, other than that I think this is a great shell. I used all the original buttons and screws from my original psp so I can’t speak on the quality of the included hardware. Also this was my first time ever tearing down and reshelling a psp and I can confidently say it was a smooth process with this shell.

High-quality
Great part...fit perfect on my psp 2000

Terrible quality.
The front shell has gaps on the Square and right D-pad that are open for anything to get into the system, the L and R buttons would not seat properly because of how badly the molding was off. Screw holes stripped way too easily. The plastic felt cheap. Power switch and Wlan switch stick and are hard to move. Even for the cheap price the kit didn't meet expectations. Ostent Battery packs for the PSP are a great deal, their replacement shells on the other hand are atrocious.

It's really good for the price, but not the best materials.
The media could not be loaded. I dint have many problems fitting my PSP 2001 into this new case. The memory card slot is kinda loose and the UMD hinge is kinda finicky at times. I would advise you reuse as Many buttons as you can like the directional buttons, x square triangle and circle, l and r shoulder, and media buttons. The ones they give you can be either off center, faded, or just badly cut. They give you a thumbstick cap and screws too, as long as you don't overdo the screws they're ok. Try not to take off the protective film until you gotta install the faceplate at the end. I still give it 5 stars because for around $20 it's a pretty good deal overall with some caveats.
