Turns a Hudl2 into mini laptop
I liked the look of this keyboard case for the Hudl2, and the reviews were generally positive, so I took a chance and ordered one. Although I was a bit wary because of the low price, it has turned out to be a great accessory, transforming the tablet into a much more user friendly device, by bypassing the touch keyboard.I am new to tablet devices, although I have being using other computers since the days of the Sinclair zx81 (34 years ago). I mention that because there was something about the keyboard on this case that reminded me of the zx81. The keys have a fairly light feel, but a positive soft click when pressed. The layout is almost standard, with F1-10 above the numbers, but some keys, like the Insert, Delete, Enter and right Shift are slightly relocated. The Num Lock is also a bit different, coded blue and the number keys using the right-hand numbers and letters from 7-0 down to M - ?, but at least it can be used almost like a full computer keyboard, with a few minor adjustments. It is much better than the on screen touch keypad, which drives me mad, having to flip back and forward between key layouts to use numbers, symbols, and lower and upper case letters. The case grips the Hudl2 fairly well, with a spring loaded clip in the centre, but I would not rely on it for carrying around unless it was inside a bag as the weight of the Hudl2 can make it slip out one side of the case and it could escape completely. Perhaps another case is more suitable for carrying the Hudl2, but with the keyboard connected this case is brilliant, converting a versatile tablet to feel more like a mini laptop. It is so much easier to type emails, or even secure login passwords etc., than with the on screen touch keyboard. The only minor point that might be an issue for some people is that because you have to use the micro USB connection for the keyboard, you can't connect anything else at the same time. Overall this case is a great practical accessory for a Hudl2 and a big help for anyone more familiar with other types of computer. I would recommend it for almost anyone with a Hudl2 - it is well worth investing the few £s it costs to make life so much easier when using your tablet.

Good little keyboard
Good little keyboard, for those of us who seem to have trouble with touch screens. Hudl fits in well although its easy to press the off button whilst trying to insert the Hudl, so best to do it with the screen off.Keys are definite and keyboard works well. - good protection for Hudl too although if you want to play games, you need to remove it. Excellent value for money though, would recommend.

good but some flaws
first up fairly quick delivery. comes neaatly packaged. the product itself seems to be very sturdy and well made; keyboard works brilliantly. a few things that needs some work: the strap on the top right corner covers a section of the screen, would of been good if there were holes at the back where the speakers and camera are positioned. on the keyboard the @ is positioned where the speech brackets are and the speech brackets are positioned where the @ is. the hash tag is also located somewhere else however i cant find it this needs looking in to. other than that seems to be a good bit of kit.

Good product and value
Cheap but cheerful, it won't win any prizes for fine craftmanship, but it did the job asked of it well and was great value for money. Only warning is that the Hudl can slip out the side when it is closed so needs an extra band. Good piece of kit - which is more than I can say about the Hudl itself which suddenly stopped working and I returned it for a refund (only after Tesco tried to pull a fast one and offer me a repair that could have taken up to 6 weeks - had to pull the old reliable Sale of Goods Act 1979 card, nerdy I know, but effective to bamboozle in-store management bully types). Okay rant over. I have also used the keyboard with a Samsung Tab 4 while I have waited for a better fitting keyboard and it did the trick.
