This is my first time trying the Grizzly Claw dark roast. The flavor exceeded my expecations and the description was accurate- you can definitely taste the dark chocolate without it being sweet. It's also very smooth with a lower acidity. I have an older Keurig Duo and this grind worked perfectly in my machine. There were no brewing instructions on the bag so I had to wing the amount used. I used just about 12 tbs. for an 8 cup pot and it was perfect for me as I prefer it a little strong and bold. This will make an excellent dessert coffee and I can't wait to try it with cheesecake. It's also one that would be great for baking cakes/brownies or using in mixed hot and cold drinks. Can't wait to try this in the whole bean.

This is great coffee from a very reliable and sustainable brand. It is a dark roast so it has a bolder flavor but isn't overwhelming and doesnt come off too strong. You get to enjoy the smooth flavors without it leaving a burnt aftertaste. Overall great coffee from a great brand, I will be repurchasing.

I looooooooooove Kicking Horse Coffee. I had a subscription at one time so I got a different pkg every couple weeks! It IS delicious. It IS enjoyable. However, the price skyrocketed in 2021, and I have a budget. I found something called breakfast blend at a grocery that rhymes with Galdi... and it's only 4 bucks. I'd pay the $9-10 that I once paid guilt free, but I just can't fork over the going rate today without wincing.

Great coffee! Don't let the dark roast scare you off. I almost didn't try it myself for that reason. But, this has a bold flavor without any of that burnt edge taste you pick up in so many dark roasts. Roasting is an art. Not just any beans can take a dark roast, and these folks know what they are doing. (I used to work for an independent coffee company.)

If you’re like me, you enjoy black coffee. No cream or sugar. Just healthy coffee bean water. Those creamers are usually filled with dangerous chemicals. I like black coffee. The first few sips are bitter, but the taste is acquired as you keep sipping. I am used to it. This is organic and strong. I get the ground up version instead of the whole beans and I think it is still fresh enough. If you really want the coffee to be as fresh as possible, get the whole bean version and grind it up with an electric grinder. Delicious coffee!

Pros: not bitter; doesn't seem to upset my stomach either. Cons: not flavorful, no delicious coffee smell either - I couldn't detect anything even resembling chocolate flavor nor enjoy the aromatic smell of coffee. The overall experience was pretty meh, and I wouldn't recommend this coffee at this price.

Kicking horse makes great coffee especially dark roast. This option was good and strong just not that excellent flavor I was looking for. But everyone's taste buds are different so give it a try. For the price you won't be disappointed
