this is crazy...but this product works for me! I am a terrible insomniac and have tried the full range of prescriptions, herbal, etc. For one thing, it is an outstanding sleep mask and :completely blocks all light. When I got this I was very skeptical as there is nothing really technically. The bands of light are just strips of a material that absorbs light and glows for a while. Boy, was I surprised when the first time I tried it I slept all night!

My partner's had one of these masks for years. After I stole his for two weeks straight to help with overstimulation and light sensitivity after a recent brain injury, I just had to buy one for myself. I'm so glad I did! This is still the only mask on the market that I'm aware of that allows for such a full range of eye movement. It's also incredibly comfortable, and adjustable enough to fit both my partner and myself. I will say, though, that if it's a deal breaker for you the mask does seem to have a (fairly strong) chemical smell when first received. I just followed the advice from other reviews, though, and washed it with some gentle detergent and it was significantly improved. After a couple days of use, the smell was gone and hasn't been back since.

I was very excited about this product, however upon usage, I realized the blue light that hypnotizes you is self-generated by you holding the mask close to a bright light for a few minutes right before you put on the mask to sleep. Consequently when I became sleepy I held the mask to the bright light, however after exposing the mask and my eyes to the bright light I was fully awaken and could not go to sleep. I tried it again about 3 am when I awoke to go to the bathroom, there again holding the mask to a bright light, resulted in me becoming wide awake. This product is totally counter-productive and non functioning. I returned this mask the next morning even though I was more sleepy than ever.

A little pricey but by far the best on the market. The only drawback is there is no way to clean it. I had one for about 2 years and they start to smell. I tried spraying it with Febreze and Lysol and what else, and nothing worked. I had to buy another one because it was smelling so bad. Maybe that's part of their plan?

This was actually the second Sound Oasis Glo to Sleep Therapy Mask that I have purchased for my husband. The first was in December 2015, as a Christmas present (that he put on his wish list). That mask has fallen apart - as this one will eventually - so he wanted another. The "purpose" of this mask is for the wearer to stare at the little white bars inside that glow, which is supposed to induce the wearer to sleep. BUT, you have to "expose the bars to light" for a length of time to activate them. My husband did that, I think, twice with the first mask, and he's done it once with this new mask. But, the foam is very soft, so the mask is comfortable to wear. The downside is that after wearing it a few times, you will see that there is a lot of hair caught in the foam, and it is virtually impossible to get out. The more you wear the mask, the more hair it will have. It would drive me freaking nuts to have hairs tickling my face all night long, which is why I don't use of one these masks.

My first set of these I lost, so my husband bought me some more. I wear them mostly to the dentist because of light issues. They block out the light so much and to be honest make me not so afraid of going to the dentist since I can't see what he is doing. They also work great for sleep and the little slits of reflective light don't bother my eyes at all.

I've purchased several for gifts. Lost my first one after 2 years of great use. I don't use the entire night. Just for naps or the first half hour. Provides great eye and mind serenity.

I can't explain it, but this thing works. I don't fall asleep immediately, but within minutes I just CANNOT keep my eyes open. They are pretty comfortable. For my eyes & their instructions, I have to place the mask too low onto the bridge of my nose if I'm to focus the way they suggest. I just gave up & place it comfortably & focus differently. It still works. Admittedly, I got this about $10 less the the normal retail price, but knowing what I know, I would pay the avg retail for it again.

Been using these for a few years now. Normally needs replacing once a year. Very expensive for what they are but they work for me.

These are comfortable if you don't like the pull of elastic around your head. They black out 95% of the light, there are slits that allow light to come through a bit. I added stickers inside to get to 100% black out. BUT... It would have been nicer if the foam was wrapped in silk, and if black stickers were available to have 100% black out. Other than that, they are worth the purchase.
