Rough texture, average absorption
Was delighted to find 100% cotton watercolour paper at this price. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for!The surface texture of this paper is quite rough (see image - some pages are even more textured than the one pictured). The product description should mention this CLEARLY. To be fair though, this is not advertised as a cold pressed paper. Some people may enjoy this texture, but I was hoping for a smoother paper. As a beginner, I find this too rough for painting or for practice. More experienced artists might be able to work with the rough texture, although not without some trouble. The absorption isn't particularly good either. A 100% cotton paper like campap absorbs water as you lay down the brush strokes. On this coneco paper, the water just sits on top of the paper - and not in an even sheen of moisture, but in tiny little puddles. Getting an even wash oh this paper is a bit of a pain, even with a fully loaded big brush. Single stroke leaves or petals are simply not going to work on this. And that's not all! I used a Princeton neptune wash brush (known to hold a large amount of water) and did two very wet washes, fairly saturated with pigment. It looked even at first, but once it dried the white of the paper was peeking through again! Even though the absorption is poor at first, it seems like the paper is very thirsty.I was disappointed to find that the seller does not allow returns, only replacement.I wouldn't recommend this paper at all unless you are expressly interested in a rough surface, and willing to work with average absorption. I personally thought it was awful quality!

Love it!
This is rough textured paper and it takes some getting used to but I really like it. Some have said that it doesn't absorb water quickly but I found that not to be the case. I had to work faster than usual but I like how everything turned out. Since it's hand-made, it has an unpredictable quality so you should expect that.

Dissapointed
The paper is really think but I am not very happy with its color. Also after it takes in water, it tends to spread in the taped area as well.

Uneven rough surface
It's typical hand made paper and unpredictable with watercolour and acrylic. It's good for oil pastel.

Apt for the amazing natural textured feel for watercolour.

Nice paper but bad packaging
Suitable for watercolors. Not for brush lettering. The sheets were twisted due to the faulty packaging

For those who think the paper is not good according to some comments.
There is a comment of someone very unhappy with this paper.(The most important point is the 3rd one)-He/she was wishing it to be a smooth paper though it is clearly mentioned handmade paper, which is the roughest according to my little experience so far.-Then that person said, the paper is very thirsty and that the paper couldn't absorb water( the water damps on it), well he/she has to learn to control the absorption property. Tip- wet the paper fully, pin it, let it dry fully then work on it. This technique works for me, I hope it will work for you as well.- And the last thing, as he/she mentioned that the paper was peaking after drying. Yes I thought it to be defective but later with my experience, I realised that it needs to be worked in layers and it results in marvelous work. Yes it is uneven in the beginning but later after applying several layers, it looks amazing. One last tip for artists- never fight with paper, its a battle you will definitely loose. Create some strokes, allow the paper to react accordingly, work with the paper, listen to its desire. All the best.Check out my artworks and feel free to ask anything.IG- @abhijeet.arts
