Cole HaanMen's Original Grand Shortwing Oxford

I have long been a fan of the look of these shoes. I could wear them with almost anything in my wardrobe and I find the unique, more contemporary style to be something I really like aesthetically. However, the first pair I purchased was a huge disappointment as the pictures below will attest.Initially, they were the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. But within two weeks of less than every day wear, the interior inserts that came with the shoe completely deteriorated. The adhesive the manufacturer uses is of extremely poor quality. Or should I say-at least in the pair I was shipped-the adhesive the manufacturer uses was completely defective. As you can see from the photos, the inserts came apart and then the white foam-like material came loose and began shifting along with the flesh-colored covering. This created an annoying bunching at the heel and in the footbed area of the interior of the shoe.For the price of these shoes, it's not unreasonable to expect a superior product in more than just style and comfort, but in workmanship as well. Considering the brand is synonymous with quality, I am very disappointed.To remedy the issue, I immediately initiated a return. Amazon-as they almost always do-immediately made things right by sending another pair out to me before I could even drop the defective pair off to the local UPS Store. The new pair came out of the box much like the first pair: as stylish as they are comfortable. I am paying careful attention to the inserts to see if this is a one-off, anecdotal issue or whether this pair has similar problems.If I experience a similar issue this rating will be downgraded accordingly as there won't be a 2nd straight exchange. I'll simply ask for a return and full return. Either way I'll be back to update this review regardless.

It's raining this week and I'm walking outside and notice my feet feel wet. "That's weird?", I think to myself. "I only bought these shoes 8 months ago, they couldn't be worn down already are they?"I get back to the office and sure enough, the rubber soles have split in both shoes at the same spot. I have worn these shoes pretty consistently since February, but I would not expect them to crack in half like this.Poor quality shoes. Very cheaply made. I would not recommend to anyone and I advise Amazon users to steer clear of this brand.

Beautiful shoes. It is a mix of formal and sport that allows you to wear it to go to work or even attend a casual meeting. Very comfortable.The only thing I would suggest is really checking the size of your feet because Cole Haan tends to run a little bigger than the usual size for other shoes. So I would recomend you to get half a number down (i.e. if you are a 10, get a 9.5 and so on), because for some reason, Cole Haans tend to run bigger.However, remember there should be no stress over it, because if you purchase it through Amazon and it happens to be too big or too small for your feet, you can always return or exchange the product.Cole Haan is absolutely the best brand of shoes I have purchased so far.

These are my second pair of Cole Haan dress shoes. I usually wear a 10US mens - 10.5US mens in any other sneaker/shoe, however my first pair of Cole Haan shoes were a 10.5US and they ran somewhat large, so when I purchased these I purchased them a half size down and they fit perfectly!I love absolutely love everything about these wingtips, and Cole Haan has yet to disappoint! These in particular, offer all-day comfort and style, not to mention they are extremely light weight. If you're looking for an oxford/wingtip that offers comfort, style and quality, these are a perfect buy. I've owned these for roughly 4 months and they are beginning to "break in", although you can slip these on straight out of the box and have no issues. The "break in" i'm referring to is more of added character from daily wear.I would recommend ordering these a half size down from what you would usually wear in a daily sneaker as well as investing in cedar inserts for when you're not wearing them, after all look at these as an investment. I hope this short review helps you out!

Comfortable good looking shoe. The insoles are absolute garbage and fell apart in 30 days. Not worth the high cost

Much better than the "Grand Short Wing OX II model" although they look almost the same, they feel more comfortable. True Size. Made in Vietnam.

Cons: Insoles fell apart after less than 20 hours of use. Immediately apparent they were made of some very cheap materials. Not the kind of thing I usually expect from Cole Haan, I’ve been wearing their shoes every day for years.Pros: the rest of the shoe hasn’t fallen apart yet? Will update to 1 star if they do.

This is my first Cole Haan purchase, for whatever reason. While one might be hesitant to purchase shoes without trying them on or seeing them in person, these looked as slick and fit as well as expected. The style looks equally great with jeans or a pair of dress pants. I have received a steady stream of compliments since I started wearing them. The negatives for me are really about comfort. These are some stiff uppers, to say the least. Also, there is shockingly little support inside. I have some Florsheims and Johnston & Murphy's that are twice as comfortable and supportive. They aren't horribly uncomfortable, but as someone with chronically painful feet, I need all the help I can get. Bottom line, if you are just going for style, these are a can't-miss.

Bought these as I was heading to a trade show where I was going to be walking a lot and needed comfort, but needed to looks smart as I was on business. Perfect choice. These are very light and very comfortable. Lighter than trainers. The balance between comfort and looking smart is achieved perfectly.The are well made too with stitching quality and materials all top notch. Have now bought a second pair to add to the collection and I am sure a third wont be long behind.

Like a few variants of these shoes I have had delivered, these were short and wide whilst stating the same size as pairs that fit. This is leaving me suspicious there is a mix/crossover of American sizing and wide fittings mixed into the UK sizing and standard widths offered fromAmazon. Aside the sizing issues, these are nice quality, lightweight trainer/brogue hybrid shoes

These are great shoes. Feels like I am walking around the office with slippers on. Most comfortable work shoes I have had, ever.Quality feels typical Cole Haan and the sizing is perfect; to give you an idea, I am a 10 UK in Nike and 10 UK in these too.

I ordered size 11 wide the shoes that arrived were standard size 11. There is no way to contact the seller (that I can see) to check if they have sent them in error or if it is a stock issue, I Just have to return them for a refund. 11 wide are still showing as available to buy so I don'tknow whether to try again. Not being able to contact the seller ito resolve this is a little bit rubbish. The shoes look great otherwise I would have given 1 star.

I was sceptical about how comfortable a dress shoe could be as I have had nothing but bad experiences in the past. I have to wear smart shoes for work. So I googled "most comfortable dress shoes" and these were top of the list.They did not lie, I've done 3 weeks of 12 hour shifts so far and not a problem with them. I'd even argue they are just as, if not more comfortable that Sketchers. They also look great on too.
