I really like this. It is light in weight, soft, and smooth. I have actually only fastened the velcro once. I just pull it down over my head now. With just a little gentle pushing around with my fingers I can shut out any light coming in around the nose. A couple things: this is not a total blackout mask. It is slightly light permeable. After a while my eyes become adjusted to the dark and so when I open my eyes the darkness of the mask is like a dark charcoal gray. This is a good thing I think. It is still dark enough to sleep soundly, but you can kind of tell when it is daylight or if a light has been left on. Want total darkness? Just close your eyes. And also, as we move into summer this may become a bit warm. Overall, I am super pleased with my purchase.

This is very comfortable and works well enough. Only 4 stars as it doesn't block all the light, but I actually am weird and use it for the pressure and tension on my head. I typically sleep with a hand on my head or over my eyes (for some reason--not light related), which would cause my arms to fall asleep. Having this taught over my eyes does for me whatever my hand was doing and helps me sleep better.

I don't know how I hadn't found a sleep mask like this before, but this is THE BEST one I've ever tried. Literally has changed my life with better sleep, and limiting wakes. Super soft and you can barely feel it on your face. No annoying band that slides up or down or catches on your ears. The wide band covers your ears which also functions as a noise dampener. Velcro in the back is perfectly positioned so it doesn't catch hair. Has a little pocket which is perfect for putting ear plugs in while you're not in bed.

Loosens over time won't stay down but so amazingly silky

This mask is great for travel and napping at home! The silk is soft, wide band around eyes keeps all the light out!

Very soft material but unfortunately I was still able to see through the mask & had to place another cloth over top of this mask while using for first time last night to block light coming in. After one night of use this is NOT the sleep mask for me. Seems to need another layer of thick dark material in between the layers of silk around eye area. A couple of times, my hair got caught in the velcro. Velcro strap piece at back of head made it uncomfortable to lie of my back. Side sleeping had no problem with strap. I could see this mask being too hot to sleep in during warm weather as it was sticking to me even during the cool room temp last night. Two stars instead of one star because it's soft & material is wide covering face.

I love this mask b/c it's oversized over your eyes so it blocks out all light!! It's super soft and comfortable to wear. Been using for about 3-months. I wish the velcro on the back was a little stronger, but it's perfect if you need complete darkness to fall asleep. So glad I found this one - I returned the other brand that was $50 - and am much more pleased with this less expensive alternative.

The silk is soft and the cut is great but the velcro isn't sticky at all. One side is with the smallest teeth and the other half is like felt. They stick enough to put it in the drawer but they don't stay together around your head if you move at all. Thus the mask doesn't stay on. I really wanted to give it more stars but staying on is a pretty important feature of an eye mask.
