Work great.
These cleats do exactly what they're supposed to do. They give you fantastic grip on ice. If you're a mountain climber they will give you extra traction on rough rocky terrain. They fit perfectly over top my extra large Timberland PRO boots size 15 wide. They're very easy to slip on and off. During the past snow storm I use these so I could walk confidently on ice and snowy surfaces without worrying about slipping and falling. I was also using a cleat fitted to the bottom of my walking cane. The combination of the two gave me complete confidence to walk among the ice and snow without worrying about slipping and losing my balance. They are only meant to be worn outside on rough surfaces. Do not try and wear them where surfaces may be smooth. They will slip and slide on smooth surfaces, such as hard smooth tile surfaces. They can also tear up a wooden floor. I suggest you put them on right before you need to use them to go outside, or keep them on an extra pair of boots and swap out when you get outside to where you need to go. They could probably puncture holes in your carpeting as well. They are very tough. They take a little bit of time getting used to walking with them. After a while you don't even know you have them on. They have a very specific purpose. You can't just leave them on all the time.

Excellent Ice Cleats Crampons
This has been one crazy winter in our home area. I walk every morning for exercise and the ice has been particularly treacherous this season. I finally did some research and decided to purchase these ice cleats. Wow, what a difference they have made. I now can walk as strongly and confidently on the snowy/icy sidewalks and streets almost as well as when they are dry and free of ice and snow. I've gone from avoiding every little ice patch to walking on every ice/snow patch I see (partly so I don't wear down the cleats on dry cement or pavement). I have walk on smooth ice (but be more careful here) as well as particularly rough, gnarly ice and snow surfaces on both the sidewalks and the streets. No slippage--though the smooth ice needs a bit more caution! I cannot believe the difference. I also have no trouble walking on the cleats when I do encounter dry sidewalk or street. The cleats are fairly easy to slip onto my walking shoes (tennis shoes). Since I only use these shoes for walking, I have been leaving the cleats on the shoes instead of removing them from day to day. They fit very well and I have had no issue with the cleats wanting to slip around or fall off my shoes.Velcro straps came with the cleats, but I have no idea what they are for. I left them in the nice packaging that these cleats came in. It is a nice bag to store the cleats when not using them in the off-seasons.These cleats are well worth the investment!I do wish to give a warning: ice is ice and there is always the possibility of slipping and falling on some especially smooth icy surfaces. I trudge along without any thought when the snow and ice is especially lumpy, but I have found it best to walk a little more guardedly when on the really smooth ice. So just a word to the wise! These cleats definitely are a huge help in walking in these conditions, but they do not make us invincible!

used these to Harvest ice on a lake for 4 days and they are FANTASTIC!!
These worked extremely well! I was helping harvest ice on a frozen lake for 4 days straight and did not slip, slide or fall even one time! This was my first time using these and now I totally understand the necessity. They came with a nice little draw string bag as well as 2 Velcro pieces to use should you need to tighten the top - which I did not need because they fit perfectly! If you are on the fence about these...DO IT!! You will NOT be disappointed!

Good cleats for patchy ice/ frozen snow
These cleats work as expected to provide traction on icy trails. I hike a few times a week in New Hampshire, where the trails are very rocky. You need something .ore aggressive for icy steep climbs, UT these are great for most hills when there is patchy ice and frozen snow. I can't say much about the durability, I usually only get one prime season out of a pair of cleats before they are relegated to "rock spike" duty for the shoulder seasons.

Perfect for icy driveways
Used for snow blowing my driveway. Unbelievably good. Bought cheap spring wrapped bungee cord deals in the past but they didn't last. These looked like overkill just for an icy driveway but they were perfect. No more slipping on snow covered ice or tip toeing around afraid to slip on every step. Very durable, remarkably comfortable and super secure footing. I can see using these on my steep hill in the spring so I don't slip on the mud. Worth twice as much!
