Heavy Duty and will last a long time!
This is my review for Rubbermaid Commercial FG9W2773BLUE BRUTE Heavy-Duty Rollout Waste/Utility Container, 50-gallon with Recycling Logo, Blue and Rubbermaid Commercial Brute Rollout Container, Square, Plastic, 50 Gallons, Gray (9W27GY). I was initially looking for a recycling bin that was big (also bought the trashcan to match), because recycling where I live is free and you have to pay per bag for trash. Being that most waste my family produces in recyclable I figured I would buy two of these. We used to use the cheap ones from home depot or lowes, but we had to replace them rather regularly as they tend to fall apart and or crack after about six to eight months of regular use. I have had all of these bins for a little over a year now and these have held up wonderfully to the abuse of the trash man week after week and they still look as good as the day I purchased them. The construction of these bins are top notch compared to anything I have ever used. They feel heavy duty and the plastic is not thin like some of the other bins I have had in the past. They have also withstood Maine Winters beautifully. The wheels on this thing are solid meaning I don't feel like they are going to fall off if they take a little abuse and unlike some bins they work great on gravel driveways (Yay). The lid is very lightweight and it is attached to the can. It does not lock and won't keep a bear or anything out so if you need that it might not be the can for you. Myself I don't need a locking bin so this is no big deal to me. Anyways, both the recycling and the trash bins are top notch. I would highly recommend any of these bins as they will last for a long time!!!

There's the story about the Opossum
We bought some value-priced trash cans from (coughWal-coughMart) a local store and the opossums ravaged them like vikings on spring break. This may be due to the fact that my sons are as responsible as sailors on shore leave in Australia, but it, hey, they're young. These roll. They hold a lot of trash, and opossums have yet to crack their DaVinci code. If they do, easily I can add a latch.A digression: Opossum is pronounced "possum". Why did they add the O?I am at a loss.Regardless, a great trashcan, according to my sons.

1 mishap, but would buy again.
I like this garbage can. Now saying that, while using it to bring recycles down a cement drive, the wheel came off on my hubby. He fixed it., but the point is for the price it shouldn't have come off on the first trip. This is not a rough driveway and is very smooth. Hence, the sturdiness rating is at 4. It has not given us a bit of problems after Hubby fixed the wheel and we use it a lot. If there was a rating for 4.5, I would give that. We would buy again.

Wheel fell off in first week of use
Good size for family of 5. Wheel came off, however, within first week and luckily I was able to find it and hammer it back on. Has stayed put so far. Id maybe look at wheels when you get it to make sure they are secure. Not as tough as I hoped a brute might be.***Update 3/16/2018***After two months of ownership I would not recommend this product. Today I came home to find that both of the wheels came off. Luckily I found all the pieces and I hammered everything back together, but I am not looking to do this every other month. It has been incredibly windy on the east coast these last couple months and this product has no stability and blows away even when completely full. If I had a bigger trash can I might put this recycling bin in the trash. Very disappointed in the construction.I am going to think of some way to enforce the wheel caps. They are not built to last.

Trash here, Trash there, Trash everywhere.
This trash can is the best for now.The negatives I have is the wheels are held in place with a bracket and one small screw. When the screw rusts out you will lose your bracket and the trash can will not roll anymore. When the trash can is empty and I am pulling up the driveway it wants to tip over. You almost need two hands to keep it from tipping over.On the positive sideI have had this trash can since the summer and the start of our winter. Rolls through snow quite well. Big wheels makes it easy to turn around. I like the fact you will never lose your trash can lid to wind or the trash hullers forgetting to put your lid back on.The one thing I wish is that the trash can's bottom had is drainage holes. The trash man has left the lid off during a rain storm and the can filled up with water.

Problems with shipping
While there were no problems with the container itself, I warn you now about the timeliness in receiving this item. It took 5 WEEKS to get this delivered. I called I investigated I tracked it and was unable to get results till I told them to refund my money and send another one. Good luck. It wasn’t cheap and the quality is there but don’t be in a hurry for it. And yes I have prime.

1 year and holding steady
We’ve had this trash bin for over a year and we’ve moved from one home to another with it. Its held tough, takes a toll from 2 kids birthday parties, bbqs, and being tossed around by our garbagemen. We haven’t had a crack or dent since we bought it. The only issue I’ve had is when its empty and dragging it back to its spot - it can get a little crazy but we drag it up and over a grassy hill not down a driveway.Edit- we have this garbage can STILL!! And it looks like the day we pulled it out of the box. I think the reason is because our garbage men refuse to pick it up and just pull the bags out... we have found it holds about 3 overstuffed hefty/glad bags of trash from a family of 4 (and a dog & gerbil.) We cook at home almost exclusively, and I’m a stay at home mom so all our trash is usually at home. We have found when parties happen, BBQ’s, etc. we are OVERFLOWING with this can. We’re looking to upgrade actually and pass this on to my mom. I would still buy this again!

Great size and durable
No more chasing bottles and plastic bits around the street if it gets windy. No more soggy cardboard bits! And yes I’m rolling this out with ease with snow on the ground !!! YESSSS!!!! If your thinking about buying this please do! Don’t hesitate, I was putting it off because of the price but Lowe’s and Home Depot and other surrounding stores including ace were all the same price. But I got my free shipping with Amazon prime and I didn’t have to haul this around in my car. Great size and durable!

Pest resistant sturdy bin
Not 100% sure as yet, but we've been looking for a better waste bin from the ones we found locally at stores. This appears to be what we've been looking for, but we won't know yet until our first garbage pick up in a couple of weeks if: 1-it doesn't break off at the lid when it's dumped out and left back on the curb, and 2-if the squirrels don't manage to get into this bin (the lids on all of the other cans got ripped apart by the rodents). Will update as this bin gets used, but so far we are optimistic******EDIT/UPDATE: So far NO PESTS have been able to get into the bin, we did secure the lid down with a bungee cord, but none had even attempted chewing the lid as they have with the cheaper garbage bins/cans. We rate it a #Success!

I love it!
I love it!!! Our neighbours are jealous! I used to have 4 tiny litle bins- and now we have this ! Even the garbage man when he came to pick everything up - he was eyeing it up and said to my husband " Oh you have one of the industrial ones!" he was really impressed. I like it , it's really light, the lid flips up and down so we can just walk outside flip it up and toss everything in. It's great. Really easy to move on the wheels too.

I am a small thin person and I can manage it to the road
I just love my Rubbermaid Commercial Brute Rollout Container.I am 5ft 2" tall and weigh 134 lbs. I can roll this out through a field to the road with ease, I think it it because of the wheels. I live in a rural community and my driveway is natural rocks and weeds and this container went over all of that with ease. I also liked the way that the garbagemen were able to leave the lid open so that I could see that they had emptied it. It is like a big black screen.

Décevant
Non standard pour le Québec les camions ne peuvent la faire basculer avec leur levier en conséquence et et tomber dans le camion et j’ai perdu ma poubelle et le coût de celle-ci

Great product, very durable and great size for family of 5.
These are great. We bought 2, and use one as a grey box without any issues (they take it every week). This has solved the issue of having too much cardboard from all the Amazon orders and has brought order to our waste and recycling area beside our garage. Highly recommend them, we have had our garbage version of this for over 5 years and it is holding up strong.
