Maximizes Space - Works Great
This will hold 5 racks of St Louis Pork ribs on my vertical smoker. I was hesitant about smoking them standing on their side, but it works just fine. Laying flat, blocks circulation. Up on edge, the circulation is not interrupted and temps are maintained better.

Do a cold run first.
The product is great. Please make sure you do a cold run before you set up your grill (I had a bit of an issue with the grate right side up; it needs to be upside down). Ribs seem to cook a little quicker on their sides. Easier to spray for basting as you can lift up the center post with gloves hand when not cooking chicken on top. I haven’t tried cooking chicken with ribs yet. Best of luck.

Well thought out and built.
I love this thing. The design and construction are top notch. My first cook was a rack of spares and a chicken. Cleaning this thing is a bit of a chore lots of turning and scrubbing, but that's to be expected. I might try and put it in the dishwasher next time and see how that does. It's stainless so I don't think it will hurt it.

pros and cons.
So I definitely needed this rib rack.Pros: - I can now cook more than one rack of ribs at a time- the circle fits my smoker perfectlyCons: - definitely not easy to clean- the space for the ribs fits them exactly (at first blush this may seem like a pro, but if I put my ribs in aluminum foil with spices or a marinade, I cant easily shove the ribs into place again without the foil ripping) #drpepperribs

Not so good for fat baby backs.
I bought this hoping it would make it easier to smoke 6 racks of baby back in my WSM. The first time out i put 6 racks of meaty baby backs in there. Here's is where you run into problems. The space between the racks is too narrow for baby backs. These were the 3 per cryovac pack baby backs from costco. They're a little too thick for the rack so the meat ends up touching. You don't get even cooking which leaves your middle ribs undercooked. They might work for less meaty spares or st louis, but fat baby backs didn't work for me. I may try again with less meaty ribs. Also I would not use the pan on the bottom to have more smoke get to all the ribs. The rack is also a pain in the butt to clean...getting your hands into the middle. Easier to skewer the ribs in a circle and lay them out. 3 per rack in the WSM.

Works well on Chargriller Akorn
I’ve used this rack to smoke ribs a handful of times. The design is genius, and it fits the Chargriller Akorn well. The spacing between racks is a little tight, but I prefer spare ribs to baby back. Some of those monster baby backs might be tough to fit, but everything I’ve smoked with it has worked fine.

Too narrow for meaty baby backs
I like the design of the rack but in practice the rack was too narrow for thick baby backs, had to shove them in there and then it was a pita getting them out, we're getting torn apart. Not to mention a real pain to clean, just gave up and tossed the rack after the first use. Kept the pan though.
