I have now owned this bag for over a year and a half, and have slept in it for adventures in Colorado and Alaska. I spend a lot of time off the grid - so at this point I have slept in this bag every night for 9 months of the year and a half I've owned it. This bag is extremely comfortable, and extremely warm. When it is warm enough outside, it can be unzipped and used like a blanket. It is big and comfortable. I am 5'10" for reference. I could not find anything near a -30 rating anywhere near this pricepoint - and I am extremely satisfied with the quality, comfort, and warmness of the bag. That said, nothing is perfect - so here are some downsides.-There is little black thread stitching running horizonally along the bag about every 1 ft, as far as I can tell this stitching is purely aesthetic/non-functional, but it will start to pull out and fail after enough use.-The zipper is extremely easy to use. This is great, but it will unzip easily at night, potentially dangerous in extreme cold. Using a large safety pin or other method to keep the zipper up might be a good idea if you move much in your sleep.-The head area is as wide as the bag with no drawstring to narrow it. This is a big oversight in my opinion, because, while comfortable, it is a major point of heat loss in cold temps.-Washing this bag can be difficult. It requires a very big washer and dryer. There are instructions for handwashing and airdrying but I found this impractical due to the wet weight and dry time. I cannot wash this bag in a regular sized washer, I take it to a laundry service to wash.In short - it could be improved slightly, but this is a great quality bag at a great pricepoint. Not very mobile, but it's not designed to be. Great for living in an off-grid cabin or tipi. Probably very good for car camping too. Impractical to hike very far with.

Pros. This thing is warm, too warm even unless your are being exposed to temps 45F or below it will be too warm. I use it ice camping on northern Wisconsin lakes for ice fishing.Cons. This thing is a monster. Cannot be rolled up folded over on itself. Even just zipped closed it rolls up about 1.5 ft around and 3.5 feet long.

12/20 Upate-I can’t say enough good about this bag. Just came back from an overnight in the Swansea wilderness. It was below freezing and I was warm as toast. Best bag I’ve had for warmth and comfort.Original Rvw-First this bag is not for backpacking. It is for car camping or as I use it for my off-road/over landing bag. It is large and somewhat bulky, but it’s performance is great. I just returned from an off-road trip camping in the AZ Gila Box NCA. The temps weren’t extreme at all, but the bag was warm as toast in 30-40F night temps. My friend said he was cold, but I never got cold and actually had to unzip the bag to be comfortable. I paired this with one of the 3-D self-inflating camping pads and sleep like a baby. Great bag!

This bag is definitely a warm one! The padding is amazing and it is my only winter bag! I’m a bigger guy so I appreciate the larger size. The only things that keep this from being a 5 star review is the daggone zipper. It’s on your right when laying in the bag and the bag I received only has one external zipper and it snags and binds every inch of the way down when I’m in it. Very heavy bag and not ideal for minimalists but will definitely be worth it’s weight in gold in those really cold nights!

I've purchased 4 of these in the last couple of months...I love them and incredibly comfy and warm. Can't go wrong here. I guess there were some issues with these when they first came out, but any issues have been corrected (zipper / binding chords).
