The Game...Where Cards Rule ALL!!!
I was not a fan of the original on the Gameboy system. I got stuck on it and never could figure out how to move on so I traded it in. I tried it again on the Gameboy with similar results so I traded that one in and just said forget it. When I saw this game in the stores however, saying that it was a remake of said game only for the PS2 I was a little sceptical at first, thinking I'd be stuck again, but I took the plunge! Let me tell you I was not disappointed and I enjoyed this version WAY more than the original! This battle system is by far the hardest one to master but that's one of the main reasons why this game is so fun. Once you get it down, which takes a WHILE, at least it did for me. It's an easy peasy lemon squeezy lol! The characters are excellent, and the voice actors are amazing in my opinion. One of the few drawbacks I see is that there are very few cutscenes, they only take place in between floors, with the exception of a few worlds. As a result there is A LOT of reading involved, and if you're not much of a reader you're not going to enjoy this game very much at least on Sora's mode. Oh yes, and if you've played the original you already know this but for those who have not, did not. There is a second part to this game where you get to play as...drumroll please...RIKU! His story leaves much to be desired in my opinion, as opposed to Sora's story, and his world's are hollow and lifeless, but the cutscenes in between floors on his story are pretty good. I just love the way he fights and I'm a Riku fan to get to play as him was just amazing! Excellent game and I recommend purchasing it! It's a bit challenging and different but that's what makes video games fun!

I can’t believe I found this for a reasonable price.
Straight tears to my eyes when I opened this. Times past that you never know you’d cherish, and people gone you thought would always be there. Thank you so much.

TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
I should warn you up front, I am a MAJOR Kingdom Hearts buff, so expect this review to be biased accordingly. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is the game that bridges half of the gap between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. (The rest will be explained in Kingdom Hearts: 385/2 Days, to be released in Japan in February, North America ???) This is the story of Sora's trek through the mysterious Castle Oblivion, his search for the friend he forgot he had (Naminé), and his encounter with the mysterious "Organization" of "Nobodies." The original KH:CoM was released on the GBA system. Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories is a complete 3D remake of the GBA game (Originally released in Japan w/KHII Final Mix +)--including VOICE OVERS!!! That's right, the cutscenes between the floors/worlds are completely voice acted. Beautiful, right? It also incorporates new features to the game, like reaction commands with some attacks. KH Re:CoM also includes a remake of the Reverse/Rebirth mode, also mostly voice acted. (Sadly the actual worlds in both game modes are "bubbled" not acted. *sigh*) This game mode also includes a new Card Duel system. Play the same ranked card as your opponent, and you're given the opportunity to unleash some seriously bad sleights. Oh, I should have mentioned that Re:CoM (as the original CoM) has an entirely different gameplay system. In Castle Oblivion, every action is controlled by the Cards. What world you go to, generating new areas within the world, and even fighting. You have to construct a deck of Attacks, Magics, Items, and even Enemies to match your fighting stle and destroying your enemies. It took me the first floor or so before I got the hang of it, but it's really not that much harder. One aspect is that you can "stack" one-three cards and play them all simultaneously, resulting in a destructive combo, or ocassionally an even more powerful attack called a "sleight" that can have devestating effects. Bottom line: if you like Kingdom Hearts, BUY THIS GAME. If you don't like Kingdom Hearts, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? (Just kidding! :p) If you've played the original CoM BUY THIS GAME. If you haven't, BUY THIS GAME! I rate it two thumbs up (but only because I don't have a third!)

Pretty Good! actually better than I expected!!
Honestly I must say that this version is alot better and more challenging than the Gameboy Advance version As soon as I got this game I thought I was gonna breeze through it easily like the Gameboy Advance version, but boy was I dead wrong!! LOL cause when you're playing as Riku his cards are different from the GBA version and also It threw me off when it came to that new feature where you have to stack your cards quickly before the timer runs out and you'll be left stunned while the enemy has a free hit on you. But if you play it right the combo comes out amazing! (Riku only) And other positive things I gotta say is that now I KNOW how Larxene, Marluxia, Vexen, Zexion, and Laxeus sound like when they talk other than having to try hard to imagine how they sound like while playing the GBA version. Oh and another thing that Threw me off again was when it's the final battle between Sora and Marluxia it is very surprising how you gotta quickly pick up ALL your cards that he knocks off of you during the fight. Now this is a great challenge for me and I LOVE it. If you're a die hard Kingdom Hearts fan. GET THIS NOW!! Trust me you won't be sorry!!
