I love my soft brush whenever I’m doing a slick back. It’s soft but also does the job. The quality of the brush is awesome and the size is just like the size of any average hair brush. It’s durable so I know it last long, it’s also a great throwing weapon when your brother being an a**.

I'm sure this hair brush is softer than many, including my old one, but it's not as soft as I'd hoped for. I have a goats hair baby brush that spoiled me in terms of softness. Nonetheless, this hair brush does a good job (better than my old one) and is just a tad scratchy on this bald head.

You can't go wrong with Diane brushes. The saying you get what you pay for doesn't apply to these brushes at all, you're getting 15-25 dollar quality for a few bucks! First let me start with the benefits of the 100% boar bristles. This brush will make you hair extremely soft and shiny. I didn't see it the first time I used it like some people but I've had this brush for about a month now and I can definitely tell a major difference when using it. I brush with my Diane hard brush 8159, then my Diane 8119, and I finish with this 8169. When I run my hand through my hair after using this brush it feels silky smooth, it lays my hair down, and I see some added shine! If you're trying to get waves you HAVE to get this brush, besides all the benefits I've already mentioned it will help to connect your waves so you can get 360s. Another thing I like about this brush is that it's a softee but the bristles are placed firmly in the wood so it feels soft but sturdy at the same time, it's hard to explain but it feels great on your head. Some of the bristles may fall out the first couple of days you use it but that has been the case for almost every brush I've ever purchased. After the first couple of days though the shedding stops completely. This is the perfect soft brush BUY IT!

The handle and brush are sturdy while the bristles are abundant and of medium sturdiness to get the job done without scraping the scalp.

I bought this brush a year ago & have experienced some amazing benefits. As others have said, this brush shouldn't be used as your daily brush to style your hair or comb through tangles because the bristles are too soft & that's not what this brush is intended for. I use this brush for 5-10 minutes at night before I go to bed, mainly because once I'm done using it my hair is oily.PROS: In my personal experience this brush has stimulated hair growth, especially on the top of my scalp; distributed oils evenly throughout my hair; massaged my scalp to stimulate blood flow; decreased dandruff; & produced shinier/healthier hair.CONS: The bristles are soft so for thicker hair it's a bit difficult to use; some of the bristles have fallen out of my brush; the brush needs to be cleaned/washed.TO CLEAN THE BRUSH: Twice a month, I take a large comb & brush through the bristles from different angles to remove lint/hair. In a small basin I add enough water to cover the bristles & a few drops of dish soap which helps remove oils/hair product from the bristles. I dip the bristles & scrub back & forth with my hands for awhile. Then, I leave the bristles to soak for 15 minutes. I pour out the basin & add fresh water then repeat scrubbing back & forth to remove soap. Finally, I set the brush, bristles down, on a towel to dry naturally. Take special care so you don't get any of the handle/wood wet.
