Barbie Astronaut Doll Wearing Space Suit and Helmet, Blonde, for 3 to 7 Year Olds

Years ago, I bought an Astronaut Barbie with the original NASA logo and large backpack. The Space Discovery Astronaut Barbie is just as cute. She comes with a spacesuit, boots, gloves, helmet, 3 space snack bags and a Barbie flag to plant on an unexplored planet! I bought this one for me as a collectible, then had to buy one for my granddaughter when she saw mine. Great for teaching your daughters and grandchildren that they truly can be anyone they wish to be. After all, there would be no space program at all without the women who did all the complicated math that sent the first spacecraft up! Encourage children with a fun Barbie, and don't be afraid if they decide to excel at math or physics as a result!

This doll is adorable. She has a cute fashionable hair cut, her uniform is tasteful and appropriate. The helmet is easy to remove for a 5 year old. I do wish it came off in one piece but it is two pieces-but large enough to not be lost. Packaging was pristine upon delivery in case you are a collector, however ours were for play. She has sparks many conversations with a 5 and 7 year old girl about what they can be and the female astronauts of the past. We have named them Sally and Teresa-in honor of those women.

Love this astronaut barbie space suit since it fits other dolls. Once we bought it we took the outfit off boring blonde barbie and put it on a brown haired one instead. The space suit it cool, the gloves and boots are well made the space helmet can fit dolls with regular hair (maybe not the ones with thick curly hair).She didn’t come with a spaceship so we improvised and bought spaceship slippers so barbie can finally fly. We bought the slippers size large but an Xlarge would have been better. Anyhow this doll is great :D

Very appreciative of the quick delivery from Amazon. Barbie launched in 1959 and I am elated to see that Barbie is still around and that she is being sold in a variety of cultures and work professions. My 8-year-old granddaughter loves Barbie dolls and is enjoying the variety and diversity that comes with Barbie's lifestyle from her homes, jewelry, fashion, travel, cars, work professions to her family, friends and less not forget her boyfriend, Ken. I do not recall Barbie ever being unemployed or having to alter her lifestyle. Boy, is she living the dream as I and many others continue to support her existence. I think we’re enablers. A big touché' and thank you to the Mattel manufacturer for creating such a memorable and creative, fun and playful toy experience for all children and thank you for keeping children playing and dreaming, especially during this time when we are being challenge with change and with all the impact that comes with Covid-19.

I like this doll. She looks the part of a professional, encourages another type of adventure, the space suit is well made. Another great price from Amazon Warehouse too. Love another reviewer's idea to use slipper made like rocket. Let those imaginations run free!
