Ok, this won't be long but it could use more finish work after all when using this tool we need a little more accuracy here and these are not perfectly straight, but that's not the end beats all, I simply sanded it down. In order for your work to be as close to precise as possible your tools need to be and I bet most of these were cut using this type of process and that is rarely exact. And this part you need to trust this rocker so when you get it just finish it the rest of the way out the way I or you would have liked to seen them do it!

Some of the reviews worried me about the quality and accuracy. Would have returned it if it wasn't strait on all edges. Used a precision straight edge and a stewmac fret leveler to compare and its dead on. I never looked at the height markers so can't say anything about them.

great for checking frets

Maybe the manufacturer has improved the string height markings, because unlike some other users, I found them perfectly usable and very helpful for setup. The two longest edges showed some faint tooling marks--maybe a little bit of chatter from the cutting head--but probably not deep enough to affect the usefulness. A couple of swipes over some 300 sandpaper on a flat surface will probably remove them.

It's a great deal for a fret rocker, compared to the almost $30 for the big name one. It's aluminum so it's light, which is nice, and it's got a nice thickness to it. The blue anodizing makes it easy to spot in the toolbox. The string action chart on the back is nice but the problem lies with the string height markings on the front. They're printed very light and thin, so hard to read. It also starts at .20" and not .10 like literally every other string action gauge I've ever seen and used.

Looked at much more expensive fret rockers. The iLuiz works great and has identified several high frets on my telecaster. Was having some issues with notes not ringing out and this helped narrow down the issue.
