Great rack for the price
I really needed a roof rack to accommodate my belongings for a long trip. I checked out several and decided on this Maxxhaul. I noticed one used in excellent shape and picked it up for $86. It arrived quickly, in great shape and all parts still packaged and there. Within fifteen minutes of dragging box inside I started to put it together. I had watched one video on here 2 times before ordering and it went together quickly as the printed instructions are terrible. I didn't even have to use a rubber mallet, it slid together like it was supposed to. I took it outside and lifted it up onto my Rogue, stepped back looking at it from front and back and repositioning a little to get centered. I then put the wedges and straps on but not tight, stepped back again and made sure it was still centered then began tightening everything up. I had 2 issues, the first was the rubber washers putting sides together pushed up over the screws so I just took it off and screw went in a little tighter, the second issue was the rubber plugs wouldn't fit all the way down. I will recheck them in a couple of days and see if I can push down further. All around pretty pleased with it and myself. I am a 74 year old female and did this all by myself.

Take Your Golf Cart Up A Notch!
Just reconditioned our 11-year-old Ez-Go S6 golf cart and needed a little extra storage for bags and chairs when all the grandkids are visiting. This rack fits perfectly on the roof, and took our cart up a notch. Drilling eight holes and putting the knobs on the inside makes for an easy removal to use on our SUV when needed.Super happy with the quality, look and function - highly recommend!

Cheap but value oriented basket that does the job
For the price it does the job. I drove 4K miles of dirty wet winter riding after installing it and it has held up well. The basket fits my 2021 Audi Q3 with factory bars with ease. I was able to easily add three decent size pieces of luggage and I used a dry bag. My qualms is that the screws supplied are crap and easily strip so be careful. I haven’t had any signs of rust but many people have shown the basket starts developing surface rust along the welds. The basket is light which makes it easy to lift. The aerodynamics I would say are bad. Too many open spots that create a ton of wind noise. The noise is bearable when at 50mph but anything greater the noise becomes very loud but this will depend on your noise tolerance. The rack fits on my aero bars but the hardware has no locking mechanism if that matters and I found the clamping hardware to be a but tedious to install trying to clamp each side evenly. Once installed though the rack is rock solid and isn’t going anywhere. Again for the price this costs a fraction of what a high end Yakima or Thule basket would cost yet essentially does the same job. The 150lb weight limit is fine for me but might be limited for others.

Great product at this price point!
I read the other reviews first and concur with almost all that was mentioned. For the price, this is a great rack. First thing I did was cover all welds with black silicone. Next I put on a few coats of flat black chassis coat rubberized spray on. Next I assembled - and was ready thanks to other reviewers - two holes did not line up properly, so I drilled and finished connecting (of note, I put locktite on each screw prior to installing). Next up, I slid the sleeves over and sealed each sleeve with black silicone to ensure water stays out. I then removed the factory decal, which was already peeling (used adhesive remover- cane right off). I then removed the front plate, rubberized front rails, then cleaned the plate area with alcohol and sprayed the front plate). I let all dry for around 16 hours, then reinstalled front plate and put black silicone over those screws. I then sprayed over the screws and silicone with rubberized spray. Let’s that fray a few hours, then put the rack on the vehicle. All in, 1.5 cans of spray was used (I was generous when painting). Factor in the cost of paint and silicone added around $30 and at this price point, it is an incredible deal (you would most likely need to do to any rack purchased (i have had to do to others I’ve had on other vehicles, and those were nearly 5 times this price). I plan to add a decal at some point (weighing my options). Installing on vehicle was straightforward and simple. I used a lot of strength pulling on rack and also drove with a cooler on roof as a test run - seems very stable. Is all of the aforementioned necessary - not sure, but I want to take preventive measures against rust (paint out of the box was definitely lower quality, but at this price, I didn’t mind doing a little work and was prepared thanks to other reviews). Yes, I recommend. Take your time, don’t rush, and with a little work, you’ll have a rack well worth the time and starting price.
