Great product
re-wired (2) buffet lamps. Love the darker cord and the easy to use press switch. length of cord was perfect for my tall buffet lamps and pusing through the long, narrow tubes and reaching the socket with room to spare. Easy to insall, used youtube video and learned the difference about the two different wires of a lamp cord. one has ridges, and how to properly insert this. Hope the below help someone.Does it matter which wire goes where on a lamp?Yes it really does matter. The grounded conductor or neutral is the larger blade of the plug and its' wire goes to the silver screw. The wire associated with the larger blade usually has a few small ridges on it for identification, or you can just follow it up from the plug.

Antique Lamp Working Again
The old dial style switch electrical cord finally gave up. I couldn't find a replacement, so ordered this toggle style from Amazon. It installed very easily and my wife likes the toggle much better than the dial style. It works perfectly, saving a very old lamp from going to the dump.

A very good product, to be sure.
I have a favourite Tiffany style lamp whose inline on-off switch finally gave out. The cord was rather flimsy as well so I decided to replace the entireswitch and cord assembly. This product is very good quality in terms of both switch and cord. My only issue was that the gauge was a bit big for the pathway inside the lamp. I had to use all my strength to pull the cord up through the lamp and into the bulb holder. All in all a good product and (unexpected) a vigorous morning workout. Cheers.

Replacement cord for UK lamp
Bought this cord to switch out in a lamp that I purchased in London. It was relatively easy with the exception of not knowing which part of the cord was positive or negative but we figured it out and got it done and after 3 years of this lamp sitting in my house, unusable since we have US outlets, I'm finally able to use it and it is gorgeous!

Why build my own cords?
I usually build my own replacement cords but, this time, I needed an inline switch. Presto! This popped up. Works like a champ and easily fit the lamp that needed repair.

Perfect replacement!
The switch failed on my lamp and this cord with built in switch was a perfect replacement! It’s a great product you won’t be sorry with this purchase.

A simple & elegant update solution.
I used this to replace the old lamp cable of a beloved 1950's era Tiffany desk lamp. (The original "rotary" on/off switch on the cable finally gave out.) I now feel much safer about the electrical connection of my much loved old lamp. The quality of the new switch & cable is far superior to the original. THANK YOU!
