Great for small jobs.
Bouch this to clean up some brushes and branches. Works well.

more useful than I thought
I got this attachment just in case I need it, and the reciprocating saw is more useful than what I thought it would be. I used the attachment more often than I thought.

Great attachment especially for the price I paid
This is a good attachment for the B&D Matrix system. This is the second one I’ve bought. The first one had a problem with the quick-change mechanism about a year after fairly heavy use so I bought this one because it was on sale for $13! The first one I owned was around $40 so you bet I was going to buy it for $13! Obviously Black & Decker and the matrix system tools probably aren’t up to contractor/professional specs but everything I’ve used so far from this line has really stood up to prolonged use and abuse. This reciprocating saw attachment is the only exception but, note it was just the quick-change mechanism that bent/metal fatigued after 50+ blade changes. I figure it’ll last much longer for me as I plan on being much more gentle on that particular mechanism. I do recommend this product for the weekend warrior/hobbyist/general DIYer or anyone else.

Works good
Works good, blade isn't the best. I wanted a reciprocating saw to cut some tree limbs with and this worked pretty good. The blade isn't the best so I bought some Dewalt ones instead that fit. Blade is easy to change, you just flip the grey lock all the way up, replace the blade and flip it down. This is lightweight enough to use with 1 hand, but big enough to use 2.

I love this one
This worked amazingly well, of all the Matrix accessories I think this one acts the most like the real thing. given the grip I actually find it more comfortable than a traditional reciprocating saw. I liked the idea of the matrix system because it seems like a good way to take one bag of power tools (speaking of which the Matrix bag itself is quite nice) to most jobs and though they might not be as good as the real things they would get the job done. I was more or less right so far with the accessories I have bought but when I find myself reaching for this or my 18v Makita I actually find myself grabbing for this tool (unless it is for thicker metal in which case the Makita wins on power). I advise getting some Lenox fire and rescue blades to go along with this, they last a long time and will cut through just about anything. I know the picture looks a little awkward but the front hand gripping lower than the rear hand is amazingly comfortable.

The Blade selected is more important the the Saw
The blade that comes with it may be useless. I did get a blade that was not fit for the Job. I was doing. However when I did buty a the right blade the Reciprocating Saw was great. There are lots of different saw blades to be bought.

Not as durable as I'd like, but OK when used within constraints
I was glad to find a replacement, I wasn't sure if Black & Decker had discontinued these or not. Just remember, this is for small projects, not a full-on sawzall replacement. I applied a bit too much downward pressure when cutting tree branches up and while the "business" part of the adapter is all good quality metal (from what I saw taking the old one apart), they are held inside the enclosure by plastic which broke. Still, this was fairly affordable to put my kit back to fully functional.

For when you're not sure if you'll need it
For years I been a fan of the Black & Decker Matrix Changeable drill. In fact it is the main drill I use on most of the job sites I work on. I love it simply because of storage space it saves in my truck. This one little drill offers me Saw Saw, Drill, Impact Driver, Oscillating Saw, Circular Saw, Jig Saw, and even a small Router that takes up very little room in my truck. Yes other brands offer the same tools but they are so big and only thing that changes out is the batteries. In one simple little carrying bag I can take in all these tools I mostly will use for any small job. Which means less trips to the truck and allows me to carry more tools for other types of job I might not have enough room for otherwise. Other workers with their name brand tools might moc me from time to time. But they have reach for my drill and one of it's attachments to save a trip to their own vehicle. The space and time this drill comble saves me each and every day has forever earned it's place in my truck.
