White Rabbit Creamy Candy 6.3 Oz (180 Gram) (Pack of 6)

Now that I'm an adult I don't eat a lot of non-chocolate candy, but these are still a delight. They have a mild, milky, creamy feeling and have a texture that's something like hard toffee. They have a very slow melt-in-your-mouth quality where you can chew them for a very long time, which I like because you can get a lot of enjoyment out of just a few pieces.About hardness: the biggest factor is temperature. I prefer to put them in my pocket for a few minutes before eating them; you could also just hold it in your cheek. *Don't* try to chomp down full strength if you pop it into your mouth at room temperature. It will hurt; it's supposed to hurt! It's a hard candy. I would compare eating them to eating a tootsie pop; there's a period where the rice paper is melting and it's slowly warming up and you really, really want to bite down, but you just have wait til it's a little warmer.I think freshness also effects the hardness, but I'm honestly not sure because it seems like a gamble. I found these when I lived in China and even then buying them at the grocery store (so, presumably fresh) it was like a 50/50 as to whether they'd be super hard or not. Either way, the super hard ones are *STILL GOOD* and have just lost some of their moisture content. Again, you just have to warm it up a little.Anyway, that's about it; I just love this candy so much I wanted to share more about how to eat it for people who didn't grow up with it. It has a subtle, pleasant taste and is more filling/satisfying than most candies.

If you have an additive personality DO NOT BUY THESE. If you do you will not be able to speak for having your mouth full of them. I discovered them over 25 years ago while stationed at an Air Force Base in California. Now all these years later I am still eating them. They are worse than drugs. There is no way to stop. No rehab. Just give up. Or do not start. Just say no.But honestly they are so very good. Like sweet cream milk candy. I do not know anyone who has tried them who does not own one of those cute little white jackets with sleeves that tie in the back. It's the only way your loved ones can save you. can keep your hands out of the bag. Can actually have a conversation with you since your mouth is so full of White Rabbits You Cannot Speak. ( I hear there are other flavors. I have not tried them. I am afraid to) Try these White Rabbits. I Dare You Hahahahahaha

I don't remember this candy ever being super soft from the moment you pop it in your mouth. I remember it exactly the way these came to me. It's hard at first and as you suck on it and let it come to body temperature it softens up and gets all milky and creamy until you can chew it all up. These candies are addicting and I am so glad I found it on Amazon for a great price. Local stores here can't ever keep it on their shelves and some places sell these for upwards of $5 a bag!

The package was exactly as promised. The 6 bags of candy were in a larger clear bag. I haven't opened it yet, but I bet the candies are exactly how I remember them from my youth.

The flavor of the candy was good, but they were so hard. I thought I was going to break a tooth. Even though they were not expired, none of us could eat them.

6 pack of White Rabbit candy arrived quickly. I saw other reviews regarding the hardness. These are absolutely delicious. A few are hard but they soften in your mouth. I have been eating these since the 1970’s maybe even 60’s as stocking stuffers. So glad these came back on the market. This seller is legit!

I really enjoy the 'milky' flavor of these candies, but they are quite hard. I was expecting a tootsie-roll sort of consistency, and they are definitely MUCH more stiff - they'll really give your jaw a workout! Not sure if that's how the product is supposed to be, or if they're just very stale, but I found a work-around! If you put one or two in the microwave for about 10 seconds they're much softer! (Your mileage may vary, I recommend starting at 5 seconds then adding a few seconds each time until they're desired consistency.) My candies never got soft enough to make a mess, but I also put them in a microwave safe bowl, just in case.Ultimately, they're kind of pricy, especially considering how difficult they are to chew un-nuked, but they're also not a product you can easily get in the US.

These are delicious and I buy them all the time. We used to get them in Chinatown so I was glad to see them on Amazon. People complain when they are hard. This is entirely dependent on temperature, it's not the fault of the seller or an indication of freshness. It's a type of taffy, if warm they will be soft, cold they'll be hard. If you don't want to wait until they soften in your mouth, just put them in your pocket or microwave a couple seconds.
