inexpensive and seem to work fine
Home hobby shop - love to weld with all four common methods (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and oxy/acetylene) and just wanted to be safe - I have them on both ends and have had absolutely no issues

Work well
What can I say but that they do their job well.

adds length
adds length to the mixture chamber, which according to the way I learned. keeps your hand further from the flame and gives me a more stable platform to work from. I grab @ the base or where the hose connect for cutting and the mix chamber for brazing / welding. Recently had a regulator go bad on the OX. side and didn't even realize it, low pressure side read right where it was suppose to, only came to light when the OX. hose blew off the fitting ,explains why it was so hard to keep lit! This was the second cutting / brazing set I've owned and somewhere in the swap around the arrestors disappeared, which is what I believe caused the REG. to blow out. {one mix chamber had them the other didn't...}[still wondering if a so called buddy swapped stuff out and didn't tell me guess I'll have to find the old REG's to find out] so on to order more Regulators and hose, it a shame that hose lasted 20+ years the regulator about 10 years each approx..

If you need these once, they're worth it!
After a near-catastrophe in the shop, I would never use a torch without these.

Badly machined
I did a bubble test after installing these and was getting lots of bubbles from the acetylene unit. On removing it from the torch I discovered that the sealing face of this arrestor was so badly machined that it could never have been tightened enough to not leak. The photo shows the trench across the face. I should have looked at it before I even tried. Further, when I tried to remove the arrestor from the hose, the unit unscrewed internally and came apart. It had both a flame arrestor and a one way valve but the machining was very poor. Returned it for credit, bought a Hobart.

Fit is good, no leaks
Hard to rate these because if they are bad things blow up and I am dead. I give them five stars because they are a great value for the money, they connect up and don't leak at all. What else can you ask of flashback arrestors?

Do yourself a favor and include these with your torch
These are an important add on to any torch. Inexpensive and well made, they eliminate flashbacks and don't interfere with the use of the torch in any way. Threads and sleeves are precisely cut and fit properly with left- and right-hand threading as appropriate for the acetylene and oxygen connections.

excellent product!
products were as described, and actualy already functioned while welding and preventing a back fire from entering the line and causing bigger problems.
