The Thompson Tee Men's Sweatproof Undershirt | V Neck | Slim Fit | with Sweat Pads

I've had hyperhidrosis for as long as I can remember - sweating through dress shirts for events and interviews before I even left the house. I know the feeling of added stress that comes with knowing you are showing and I've tried all sorts of remedies.These shirts work. They work so well that I managed to go for a job interview on the hottest day of June 2018 in one and my shirt stayed dry.My wardrobe now includes dark shirts. And some are nylon.They feel expensive so if you are looking at one for the first time, trust me that the investment works. Through time I've built up a stack of more than enough to see me through the week.

Bought for a full day assessment centre job interview.As recommended I purchased 1 size down from my usual tshirt size and this was the correct choice. This undershirt should be skin tight yet still comfortable which it was.I'm somebody who has always suffered from hypohydrosis. I ALWAYS take a jacket or coat with me which I use to cover up sweat, and hide my embarrassment, but this ultimately makes the problem worse. For this job interview though, I had to wear a smart office shirt without a jacket (company dress code).Within 30 minutes I would usually have underarm sweat marks and back sweat showing through the shirt as large wet patches. With this undershirt on, absolutely NOTHING!! Dry throughout the entire day! As there is no padding on the back (just underarms), I worried that my back would still be vulnerable, however the 95% bamboo material did an excellent job of absorption, not allowing any moisture to break through to my outer officewear.To emphasise, this was in the U.K. on the hottest day in over 40 years (35°c), in an office block without air conditioning, doing team-building tasks that required physical hard work. After the team-building task, all candidates were sweating profusely from the face, including me, however I was one of the few without a mark on my shirt. This allowed me to stay calm and focus on the interview, without worrying about embarrising marks I would usually have had on my shirt.I did well at the interview and this product completely improved my confidence on the day. As someone that has uncontrollable sweat on even cold days, the fact this undershirt did its job in much hotter conditions and in a stressful situation, is nothing short of a miracle! After a short while of wearing the shirt, I didn't really notice I had it on; this is also why it's important that the undershirt is not a lose fit, it should be skin tight but not uncomfortable. The shirt is unnoticebale to others looking at you, there's nothing to suggest you are wearing anything other than an office shirt by itself.If the idea of wearing formal shirts and certain colours fills you with dread, give this a try. It's expensive yes, but if you suffer from hypohydrosis, it's a small price to pay to get your confidence back.I paid for this product myself and have written this review as an unbiased reaction to my experience with the undershirt.

This really works. I couldn't believe it. If you sweat a lot or work in a job where one has to dress formally, and sometimes, uncomfortably, this can really help keep those sweat patches away and keep you confident!Worth every penny for me.

Firstly I strongly believe this item is excellent. I myself struggle with perspiration in stressful situations (which I have many!). The material of this product is elasticated and therefore contours and fits to the shape of your body. The pads under the arms are noticeable at first however after the first few wears you don't notice it's there. The pads/t-shirt is easy to wash and dries relatively quickly.I did take everyone's advice and purchase a size smaller than normal - if you are reading this before buying. I would recommend doing this as the item is tight fitting and can be very loose if you don't get the right size.So I guess everyone is wondering why I only gave 4 stars? My reason is simple - I have been wearing the product regularly for around a month now and the pads under the arms have started to turn pink on the inside of the t-shirt. Now this isn't a big deal for me however I would have assumed that as the product is designed to deal with sweat this wouldn't have happened. Now I'm sure your thinking - it must be your deodorant - however no it unfortunately isn't. I use a completely 100% mark free (clinically proven) deodorant which has never marked any of my shirts before. I can only put this down to a slight flaw in the design of the product. I work in the film production industry and during shoots am usually running around sweating like Niagara Falls. I used this recently and can confirm that during a 12hr stint, not one drop of sweat made its way to my layered shirt on top. It also meant that sweat odour was non existent, so I felt very confident throughout the day.

Was skeptical about if it would work for me. Wish I'd known about these years ago. Brilliant.

Great product, does the job well and I’ve had some for a couple of years. I would buy more but unfortunately there is never any stock of beige. It seems the provider cannot manage stock control. And no, I won’t pay stupid money to have them sent from USA.

I bought this product for my husband who suffers with embarrassing wet rings when wearing coloured shirts. He always wears an undershirt but these were not doing the job. I saw this product online and ordered a couple for him to try. He tried it on a particularly hot day and was very very impressed. Nothing at all showed through to his outer shirt. The only point he made was that his armpits felt very wet but once he got used to it, it was fine. Fantastic product to finally get rid of those horrible looking wet patches. The size and fitting was also great.

My husband uses this as a base layer for his dress shirts for work and they have never disappointed! Great sweat protection.

I was dubious, but it did not show sweat stains, even during an interview. Armpits are a have a nylon material layer and make a little noise while rubbed together, but likely unoticable by anyone other than the wearer.

I'm a fan of regular Thompson Tee undershirts but these particular tees are great for working out because of their snug fit. I bought three so I'd always have one ready for the gym in between laundry days. Although they are pricey, they're worth it. (They should last for years.) I wash them with my regular dark clothes. Although they advise not to put them in the clothes dryer, I decided to dry them on medium heat because line-drying them took too long for me.
