World of Warcraft: Dawn of the Aspects

A Great Read
I really did expect that I would like this book because, I like the dragon.I like some of the vocabulary used. I found the fight scenes really exciting especially the last fight against Galakrond. I did like reading Coros's death scene. I really did like reading Talonixa's death because, she did try to fight Galakrond alone even though there was no chance of her succeeding. This book just gave me another reason to like Jaina Proudmoore. The prologue is really good.I didn't mind reading proto-dragon, but since Richard A. Knaak writes World of Warcraft books, you'd think that he'd write protodrake because, he'd have knowledge of the game--unless Blizzard thinks that nobody will point that out.I'm wondering why Nozdormu said some words with three 's' because, he's the only member of his Dragonflight (that I know) that speaks like that. I did get irritated by Ysera's and Nozdormu's behavior during the Wyrmrest Accord meeting. I can understand that they didn't want to be there, but I found their behavior uncalled for especially since Kalec was showing respect. Sure, he used their former titles, but he probably did that since he wasn't an Aspect that long. One last thing that irritated me is how they said Try's wound was going to be fatal. If you lose your hand and nothing else happens to you, you'll survive. I guess Richard A. Knaak doesn't know that much about the human body.Overall, I recommend this.

It Could Be So Much More....
I like the storyline and it is a fairly good book. However I feel like with most of Knaaks books it seems to lack that something that makes you feel what the characters are feeling and the story seems unfocused to me. I judge books by how the author can make me feel what the characters are feeling and if it makes me feel I'm in the thick of it. For some reason Knaak just doesn't do that. His stories seem detached and it has a monotone feel to the characters. It's like he just doesn't care about the stories he writes. To be a good book the writer needs to feel passionate about what s/he is writing and I just don't get that from any of his warcraft books.

the book its good, but i think could have been better 1- ...
the book its good, but i think could have been better1- the final of the book talks about the event when aspects come to be... i think thats shhould have been more fantastic ...2- the villian (galakron) is not clear why he got corrupted and why he can manipulate the dead .... its just like a wanna be of lich king...3-alexstrazsa will turn not only the red queen but she is or was the queen and head of all dragons no matter color... so her participation should have been ... greater .......still its a nice book .

For WOW books lovers
It was a very good read. Once again Richard Knaak captures the essence of World of Warcraft. I have already passed the book down to my two sons. They loved it. The World of Warcraft books makes players feel a little more connected to the NPC in the game as they play WOW.The reason I gave it only four stars is because Christie Golden, I believe is a better WOW writer. Even though Knaak has written more books, they are not as good as the Rise of the Horde or the Rise of the Lich King. Both books were written by Golden.

I loved this book
I loved this book! It details the meetings of the Dragon Aspects when they were still proton-dragons and how they saved their world and earned the chance to become the Aspects. I love that it is told from the viewpoint of Malygos who I've always felt got shafted by Blizzard from a Lore standpoint. All in all a great book.

WoW at it's best
this book just has to get a 5 star rating from me.In all honesty I haven't finished it yet, but after writing this review it won't take much longer. From the first page you are drown directly into the world of Azeroth. Being a fan of the game and seen most character actually talk and move on a screen they still feel so much more alive in this book.

A good read.
I picked this book up mainly becouse I was interested in how the aspects came to be what we know they are now.The book was very enjoyable but a bit dull at times for me and the ending left me unsatisfied I wanted to see the interaction between the dragons and the titans that gave them their power. I thought it would show us a bit more of that then it did in "Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects" if I'm not mistaken. Sometimes the book seems to repeat itself and it takes away from the flow of the book.I think it may not be the best WoW book by R.A. Knaak but it is still a good read and would recommend it to people who want to know more but I would not count it into an essential one for people that are starting.

Collection of ebooks finally brought together
This is easily one of the better Knaak's Warcraft books in the past years. I would even go as far as thinking this is the best book in the whole "Aspects & Dragons" category till date! While there are some hiccups especially in the middle and it picks its pace slowly during the first part of the book, the writing, characters, overall feeling and continuity is solid. For Warcraft lore addicts there are better books out there, but this one delivers where the official lore left a hole here and there. We can finally see how certain events unfold and how they actually impact the current world with some glimpses of what might be down the lane in the future installments of World of Warcraft. As far as fantasy goes, this might even interest those readers who are not so much into Warcraft. Like I've mentioned before the plot is solid with a few little twists (nothing major though) and it is easy to read. Of course players and Warcrafters surely will get many of the little hints and Easter eggs, this is a fine example of how short stories tie into a good, perhaps a little better-than-average Warcraft novel.

Arrived with damage
Annoyingly arrived with the first page damaged. Packaging wasn't damaged, just the book itself. Unfortunately if I send back as damaged I won't have the book for travelling which is why I bought it.

Physical quality is really good, could use hard cover
Physical quality is really good, could use hard cover, but what matters is that it is perfectly readable. Pages are nice in texture too, feels like an old book :)And well, the book itself, one of the best in Warcraft and quite basic to understand many things :)

Great Read
Great book, got me started with the Warcraft book series, after playing since Vanilla, its a great introduction to "ancient" history, and provides a great insight to dragons and the aspects. Found it very easy to read, flew through it in two days.
