Originally bought Tony Chachere's to use on fish & seafood because my family background and food heritage are from South Louisiana, and I get tired of the blandness of seafood cooked anywhere else.But this stuff is so much more than a seafood seasoning. I've used it more and more over the years, and now a carton of regular salt lasts me for years because Tony's has pretty much replaced salt. I use regular salt in eggs, desserts, some potato dishes, and grits. Everything else gets Tony's: All meats (of course), vegetables, stir-fries, casseroles, salads, soups, stews, gumbos, popcorn, nuts, dips, sauces, homemade sauerkraut, you name it. And anything at all that has anything to do with Louisiana cooking.

I rarely use salt in or on anything and when I do it’s Himalayan Pink in a grinder. So this spice, for my palate, is very salty tasting.

I love this stuff! I use it on everything savory and it makes everything delicious. The only downsides are that it makes me sneeze every time and if I fry with it, it fills the house with noxious pepper gas that makesmy wife cough uncontrollably.

I put creole seasoning on darn near everything. There was another popular producer of creole seasoning that I used to use before I notice that they used High Fructose Corn Syrup in their recipe. Not the case with Tony Chachere's. I ordered the 32oz size for the value, but didn't really think about how much spice that was. This is not a table top size container and will live in the pantry. It will be used to re-fill other refillable shakers for years to come, I expect.

I've used Tony's since I was was a wee boy on anything creole. Also great on fries, chips, rice, seafood, chicken, pork, whatever you want to have a creole kick.

Good on anything

We live in Australia now and it's been difficult to find our favourite seasoning since COVID. But this giant bottle arrived within just a few days from Amazon with free delivery and we couldn't be happier. This seasoning can be used on anything and everything and has just the right touch of spicy. Highly recommended. We've been using it for 30 years plus.
