Tornadoes: An Informative Picture Book About Storms and Extreme Weather for Kids (Ages 6-10)

This book and the book Tornado! by Judy Fradin were easy to understand, had great photos and lots of sidebar facts. Highly recommended for anyone (not just kids) interested in tornadoes. You may want more info but these books are a great place to start.

Daughter used this for science project

My 4 year old son has been obsessed with tornadoes lately. This book is perfect for him to look at the photos while his dad or myself read it to him. He keeps it by his bed and it's pretty much every night he grabs that one in his pile of bedtime stories.

Good stories and pictures but doesn't get too far into the science.

My 3rd grader loved this book. After experiencing a tornado warning last summer, she was very interested in learning the facts. It also has an ar level so kids can get credit at school. Great for kids like mine, that have a high reading level, but not the focus to read long books.

My daughter (5) was afraid of tornadoes and so I bought this book for her in the hopes of making them more interesting than scary. It's informative and helpful in soothing her fears. We enjoy this book.

My nephew is obsessed with tornados so this book was absolutely perfect for him! Great pictures and explanations of how tornados occur!
