This pump works get for our 3-tiered bird bath. It is reasonably priced and seems very reliable.

This pump is excellent quality, on par with the Becket brand pumps I have purchased in the past. Its flow rate is great with the 5 ft lift in my fountain. Time will tell if the pump out lasts the Becket pumps that I typically got 2-3 years out of. I will update this review when my pump fails. I have seen some reviews saying people have gotten over 7 years of service with the Little Giant pumps, that would be great, we will see. One other thing to note: I live in western Washington state where we have fairly mild winters, so I leave my pump in the fountain year round just making sure that it does not freeze solid on those rare cold snaps. Update: This pump lasted 5 years running 24/7. Spendy pump but I have not found a better one, and I have been trying for 15 years now. I cant help but wonder about the negative reviews I have read; the only thing I can think of that they let the pump dry out. Submersible pumps should not be allowed to dry out after they have been in service.. I would love to find a pump in the $50 range that performed nearly as well or lasted nearly as long, so if anyone knows of one. let me know please.

I love LG pumps but wish they came with a foam pre filter and a couple barb fittings.

Nice Running Pump

this is a direct replacement of the same model LG pump that we installed over 20 years ago. garden fountain. used daily. many, many hours. not 24/7, but many many hours. finally quit. hopefully this one does just as well for the next 20 years. (this one is about twice the price we paid 20 years ago, but you pay for quality and reliability.) the intake basket protector does a good job keeping debris from getting into the pump.

This is the 2nd pump I bought for my fountain. I initially bought this one because it was the same as the previous owners had and it seemed to work ok until it died, about 2 yrs after I bought the house. The 1st replacement last 2 yrs causing me to buy another last year. I thought that was kind of quick for an $80 pump to go out in 2 yrs but I could see it pushing less and less water so wasn't surprised when it quit. I figured $40 a year, I could live with so I bought another. A year ago. And now it's not working. It didn't have the slow death as the previous one. Working fine one day, not working the next. Very disappointed that it only lasted a year and now I'm looking for another. I'm really hesitant about getting this one again. Going to have to do some hard looking for other ones this time. Works great when it works, but I can't recommend it.

Arrived quickly. Drop in replacement. After a few days the flow slowed. Very easy to clean the ingested leaves. Bought a mesh bag for the pump and the built-in pump filter prevents the bag from being sucked into the inlet. It has been running perfectly ever since. Highly recommended.
