Look up tips how to properly burn a candle, some reviews are user error UPDATE
The quality is really good, I was really scared I would get a wick that wasn't placed in the middle but mine came centered perfectly in the middle so that's good. The melt rate is really slow which is really good for me because that means it'll take a long time before it finally melts all the way down. The fragrance however is really subtle, but you can still smell it just not from another room, which is good because if someone doesn't like the scent that means it doesn't travel much, but it is fragrant enough I would say. The functionality is okay, I wish they would have centered the wick not too straight because that promotes mushrooming, basically soot built-up - also for the first burn I did 5-6 hours to get the first top layer melted and the glass felt a bit warm, but always make sure to trim your wick each time you light it! I saw so many people on these reviews not do that and they got soot built up on the sides which is flammable! So as a note: cut 1/4 inch aka penny size, bend the wick slightly so it's less likely to mushroom (get the black circle stuff on top) and after putting it out after 2 hours max, unless it's the first light I did 6 and it was fine. Then you wait two hours to wax to solidify before cutting the wick to prevent soot built-up, and then make sure no black bits are left in the candle , the candle size is of a regular glass mug size that you may have at home, I will leave an update to see if I can reuse the glass cup after burning it all down. Update: so I've burnt all the way through the candle ,it lasted a long time I lit it almost everyday and I think it took about a month and a week to finally burn all the way down. Please note that it says not for hot products, but why does it say it if it's a candle that's meant to be burnt, candles can get really hot so I'm not surprised it can blow up sometimes, I suggest tempering the glass to maybe make it last longer and resist heat, because I am reusing this cup as a mug otherwise what's the point , but yeah, 5/5 stars, I love this way I can use something after I burn through my candles

An Explosion of Coconut Lime Goodness.
Alright, sit down because boy do I have a tale to spin with this lovely little candle at the center of it. One day as I was cleaning up my apartment I was unimpressed with the smell of dust at paper. I wanted something new and bold that would really kick me in the nostrils whenever I walked in, but in a good way. I started browsing for candles and lo and behold, I stumbled upon the candles by Our Own Candle Company Brand, and what lovely candles they are. I started with their french vanilla and cedarwood vanilla, both of which are wonderful as well. I felt really boring by just sticking to vanilla after going through two 100 hour burn candles, so I started my search for something that would add more spice to my smelling experience. Strangely enough I ignored all of the candles that mentioned any sort of spice, so one could assume that my previous statement is a stretch at best. In my search I came upon this Coconut Lime candle and thought to myself, "Man, that sounds wonderful, and look, just as inexpensive as the rest. This is the candle. This shall be burned as an offering to my nose." I put it in my cart alongside another french vanilla because although I was looking for change I am a creature of habit, checked out, and waited. The candles arrived to my really rural and tiny town in two days, so this is also a shout out to Amazon Prime. Keep up the awesome work. I unboxed the candles, individually popped all of the bubbles in the bubblewrap(They are the kind with the really big bubbles that are super satisfying to pop, so it is extra fun, unless you are someone that likes to twist and squeeze the tiny bubble bubblewrap, then I am afraid you will be disappointed with the packaging.) trimmed the coconut lime wick, lit it, and relaxed. This next part requires skipping forward in time when I had gone about 1/3 of the way through my candle. It is worth mentioning that I live in an apartment that has really strict rules about flammables, namely that they are not allowed. It came with an oven and I have set numerous things on fire with it, though, so I think it is a silly rule. Well one day I got a knock on the door from the person in charge of making sure rooms aren't destroyed and mildly panicked because I had this wonderful candle going. I didn't know where the lid was so I threw a measuring cup on it to put it out and trap any smoke it would make afterwards, but the thing I did not realize was that this measuring cup has a bit of water in it. I muttered obscenities to myself and tried to take the measuring cup off, only to drop the candle and break some of the glass from the mason jar. I thought, "Oh, to hell with it, I will just answer the door and take a fine." but it turned out that I was just getting a flier for some meeting I had to attend. With that issue resolved I turned back to my candle. The water had done two things. It had instantly hardened the wax while also separating itself out, leading to a lumpy appearance, like the candle had lots of pimples, but filled with beautiful-smelling water instead of pus. I thought about how I could fix the candle after this happened. THIS IS THE PRECAUTIONARY PART OF THE TALE. ACCEPT YOUR LOSSES AND LAMENT OVER THE FACT THAT YOUR IDIOCY LOST YOU 2/3(6$ worth) OF THIS WONDERFUL, FIVE STAR CANDLE. I did not do this. I decided to repair the candle, like the genius that I am. If you are going to ignore the warning in all caps above, I will list the steps to repair the candle in order. 1. Put the ruined candle in a pot of water and gently bring to a boil. 2. After the water is boiling wait for the entirety of the candle to melt. 3. The candle should separate into two layers. The top layer will be your candle wax and the bottom will be water. 4. Once liquefied place the candle somewhere to cool and remove the wick. (I fished mine out with a butter knife) 5. Wait for the wax to completely solidify. 6. Once the wax is solid, poke holes down to the bottom of the jar so the water may escape. (I used the same butter knife) 7. Melt the wax in a boiling water bath once again and return the wick to its position. 8. Allow the candle to cool. It is now ready for use. That all sounds well and good, doesn't it? I got all the way to step 7 when things went wrong. I put the wick back and picked up the jar WHEN THE DAMN THING EXPLODED. I guess boiling already cracked glass was the glaring flaw in this whole thing, but maybe someone can repeat this process with an undamaged jar to confirm my suspicions. So now I have a kitchen and myself covered in wax that is quickly solidifying. Great. Do you know how to clean up large spills of wax? I sure as hell don't. I spent half an hour scraping bits of wax off of my oven, sink, cabinets, floor, and cookware with a spatula. This didn't get all of it, so I just got paper towels and spread around what was left so that it is not visible and has no lumps. I then skated around in wax-slicken socks to distribute the wax on the floor. THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE CLEANUP PROCESS. IT IS ARGUABLY WORTH THE REST OF THE MESS. It isn't like I am staying in this apartment forever, and all I really need is to not get caught. So what was the result of everything? 1. I have a novelty water-resistant sink. 2. My entire apartment smells like I burned this whole candle at once. It is amazing. 3. I smell like the candle. Even after a shower I smell faintly of coconut and lime and I feel very smooth. I'm a guy. It is like a smell-good waxing that does not involve any pain and removes no hair. 4. The bag of trash sitting in my kitchen is the best smelling bag of trash ever. 5. I get to order another one of the Our Own Candle Company Brand candles much sooner than expected. All in all it has been a fun experience. Both myself and my apartment smell fantastic. Even if you skip the part with the candle exploding and having to panic and clean up the mess you get a less intense but still thoroughly enjoyable scent. I got about 30 hours out of about 1/3 of the candle, so the 100 burn hours claim still holds, I think. 5/5, I would definitely recommend this candle to anyone, though I may not necessarily wish my experience with it on them.

Scent is the real deal! 10 STARS!
The mug is cute & I love the screw on reusable lid. The wick holder is also a really thoughtful touch (in case the wax softens or melts, the wick stays centered so when it solidifies the candle is usable!) I bought the root beer to try & everyone in our household all agree it smells exactly like a mug of fizzy sweet rootbeer! I don't know how they got the fizzy carbonated smell in the candle but this scent is top of the line! It's my 1st time trying one of this company's candles, but it won't be the last! I will be purchasing other scents for myself & to give as gifts. If you like the scent of a root beer float or old brewed style rootbeer this one is for you, definitely buy this one. There is no fake "vanilla" or other fake scrappy scents in this... it smells real & my room smelled like I had an open bottle of root beer in there. The ratio is around 1 hour per inch of candle diameter. I let mine burn a few hours on my desk to take the chill out of the air & the wax melted across the top properly! The soy blend was obviously done by someone that knows how to properly make candle blends. It's a decent size & should last for awhile. The glass is sturdy & thick as well as packaged in its own box so there is no need to worry about it breaking during shipping. The scent is nostalgic & not at all overpowering or too strong (I'm sensitive to scents & perfumes but this was just right & didn't cause any headache). Jar candles burning in our home during the winter to chase the chill away definitely has a calming effect & the natural fragrances are something that has us wanting to come back & order more candles from this company! Extremely happy customers, here.

Good fragrance
Nice candle. Really like the smell and burns for a long time. Only down side if you have a larger room one isn't enough. But all in all a good candle.

Great candle
I got my 1st candle from this company at a store for our summer house. It smelled fantastic so once I got home I had to get them for here. Seriously the best candle I've ever had. The wick burns nicely and lasts.

I’m a bit concerned about metal in the wick
In general, it’s a nice candle. Smell is good and if you cut the wick it burns slowly it’s it’s a nice flame a nice candle. However, I did notice something I hadn’t seen in many candles that I have burned a metal wire turns out that thin metal usually zinc wires are used inside candle works to keep them rigid and to you know burn more evenly in a soft wax like a soy wax. Well, this sounds OK in principle I do wonder about the overall health impact of metal in wicks and it’s not led. Let’s not get too scared about it, but I just wonder if a natural cotton work without metal would be a better choice.
