Glee Gum All Natural Variety Gum Pack, Non GMO Project Verified, Eco Friendly, 16 Piece Box (Pack of 12)

I love the fact that they use natural ingredients and this is the reason I decided to try this gum. I mostly enjoy minty gum but bought the variety pack to try it and since I have children that like sweeter flavors it won't go to waste. However, I did try all the flavors to get my own opinion of them. The flavor does fade faster than other brands because of the natural ingredients, though they don't hide this fact at all as they state it in a flyer sent in the package. I did enjoy the flavors and it does maintain just enough for me to continue chewing for hours. I really like the small chick-let size, reminds me of when I was a kid. The box is a good size with a neat designs on it.

Enjoy the different flavors. Usually chew 2 at a time as they are somewhat small. They can get stuck on my dental work but not a big deal. Like that they are the most natural I can find. No chemicals added. Pricey.

I've been a big fan of Glee Gum for years now, because all the types of gum at the supermarket are like chewing on things you found in a chemistry lab. They've created the perfect gum in so many varieties but at what cost? Glee Gum is a reality check, what real, safe, natural gum has to be like. I'm not a typical gum chewer, but I need some around because of a jaw/teeth problem I occasionally experience. It feels like my jaw muscle is tired but then sometimes it feels like braces type pain associated with the teeth. Chewing gum is the most helpful thing for when this comes up. I prefer to be chewing gum that isn't full of weird chemicals and chemicals that are known to be harmful that the corrupt FDA is okay with like aspartame for example. Obama put somebody from Monsanto in charge of the FDA, and I didn't even look into who Bush or Trump put in there because I'm not expecting any improvement. The FDA is a joke, and if you want to take care of your health, you need to go beyond following FDA nonsense. Anyway, this is an excellent way to try different flavors of Glee or to just get a variety sent to your door.

I bought variety packs of both Glee and Simply Gum to stock up and figure out which is my favorite. Yes, perhaps I have too much time on my hands ;) First, here’s my overall summary of the two for quality and price: Glee Gum (3/5 gold stars): • Glee Gum is tasty when you first chew it, but the flavor disappears quickly. • The texture of Glee is also a bit dense and rigid for my liking – especially after a minute when the sugar is gone. • Overall, Glee is economical and fine for people who don’t want to chew for very long. • The flavors are all quite good - my favorites are tangerine and mixed berry. Simply Gum (5/5 gold stars): • Simply Gum took me a little while to get used to (my initial rating was 4/5). • Now that I’ve adjusted to the softer, stickier texture, it’s my favorite gum and I find it hard to go back to regular gum. • The flavors are all appealing to me – subtle but interesting – like the “real food” equivalent to regular gum. • The flavor is integrated into the gum (rather than just in a coating) so it’s not overpowering and also lasts quite a long time. • It seems more expensive, but with about 20 pieces per box (one piece at a time is sufficient) it’s actually not bad. A serving of Glee is 2 pieces, so a box of Glee gum contains 8 servings. • The packaging design is beautiful and functional. It makes me a little happy whenever I use it. I’d much rather chew either of these gums than go back to a major brand like Trident, etc. This is partly because I prefer Glee and Simply Gum and partly because they are more sustainable. Most leading brands of gum list a “gum base” on their ingredients. This gum base can include polyethylene (plastic), polyvinyl acetate (wood glue), paraffin wax, fats (hydrogenated vegetable oil) and talc. Glee and Simply Gum are both made from natural tree gum (chicle), harvested by tapping Manilkara trees that grow in the rainforests of Central America. I think that both of them are far superior to the big commercial brands of gum and both deserve 5/5 green stars for social and environmental impact. Here is some more info on these two brands: • Harvesting natural gum from trees can help protect rainforests and support a sustainable practice that has gone on for thousands of years. • Natural gum also has a lower carbon footprint than petroleum-derived ingredients that are used to make the “gum base” of commercial gum. • Natural gums (Glee and Simply gum) are also biodegradable – reducing biological hazards (and ugly pavements). • In Simply Gum, most of the ingredients (sugar, glycerin, rice flour) are organically grown. • In Glee Gum, the sugar is not organic but it is Fairtrade certified. • Both Glee and Simply Gum are packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes – no plastic. • Both companies and woman-owned and based in the US. • Glee Gum works with people with disabilities and supports Trees for the Future and scholarships at the Maya University in Mexico. I was a bit nervous to try Glee gum b/c I do love my Wrigly and Trident. But this gum is great and I don't feel as bad giving it to my kids since it's aspartame free. I do agree that it loses it's flavor but I feel like all gum does that. And it is a bit stickier than other gum but doesn't seem like a big deal.

Folks I don't know what I was expecting but I definitely wasn't expecting this ! this gum is absolutely the worst gum I have ever tasted in my entire life tiny little pieces you need two pieces the flavor disappears after 2 minutes and then you left with such a little piece of gum in your mouth that is hard to chew without biting your tongue Folks send you money to charity you'll feel better I would not pay even $3 for this gum a matter of fact I'm probably going to throw it away because it's not returnable.I tried I really tried for to like it there is absolutely nothing to like basically you need to try to chew four pieces I'm diabetic I hate fake sweeteners so I figured I'd try this since it's low sugar lo and behold should have reorder the pur gum sugarless and well worth it oh well live and learn have a blessed day everyone.

Glee gum is made from natural chicle NOT plastic. Most people do not know that most gums are made with plastic polymers and that can build up in the body (micro plastics). I feel so good knowing that I can chew a natural gum that has no adverse effects on the body and it tastes great too. I love the orange and the mints, but sometimes I mix them for a very unusual chew. I am addicted to gum so now I don't feel guilty for chewing on plastics.
