Olde Thompson 4.5" Monterey Acrylic Salt Shaker & Pepper Mill Set, Adjustable Pepper Grinder

These were my daily set for almost 20 years. The pepper grinder finally gave out. Glad this replacement was available! Good value for money, classy look for everyday use.

They are the perfect size, awesome quality!

I very much like the solid feel of these shakers. They are nice to hold. The pepper mill is just the right size for the table, unlike some of the more bulky large ones. My only complaint is a slight one. The salt shaker dispenses the salt a little heavily, so one must be careful to not over-salt your food. On the plus side, they are attractive and can be used for special dinners as well as every day use.

I bought a set of these to replace the ones at the table, and loved them. 5 months later, I decided to by another set to use when cooking. The pepper grinder mechanism is one of the best I've used, easy to grind out plenty of pepper, pretty much any size you want. My only complaint is the cheap silver plastic tops. As well as these work, I would have happily paid more for metal tops. They seem like they will last a long time.

These are about half the size of the set I previously had and the fact that I can fill the salt from the top is such an added bonus. They are the perfect size for my now 1 person household or to take camping. I would highly recommend.

Bought this as a gift based on my previous purchase of a similar (nickel) model of the same brand several years ago; with same guarantee. After years of green, corroding salt shakers and rusted grinder springs falling into the salt, I found a good mating of salt SHAKER with pepper grinder. No spring in the shaker to rust. And after several years I only recently noticed a green speck on the shaker nozzle, which wiped off. My only concern is that this doesn't say it's nickel even though it seems to be identical to what I have. So I'm a bit un-confident whether this is as good as the one I bought before.

Olde Thompson makes high quality salt and pepper grinder mechanisms! I've had several, both dressy for the dining table and heavy duty for the kitchen, theirs are the best! I give them as gifts and everyone says they were impressed, life-long use! No need to replace every couple years when the cheap plastic grinders break.

These are the perfect size for the little turntable that sits on our kitchen table. However, I purchased these 1-1/2 years ago and the peppermill no longer works. The top doesn't screw on now and I just spilled peppercorns all over the floor.
