Very durable, and has a volume limiter to protect kids ears
I got these as a first pair of headphones, for a friends kid. She's 5 years old, and wanted a pair of headphones to listen to on the bus. I literally spend thousands of pounds on headphones for my own use (studio, and listening) but obviously, expectations are vastly different when you're dealing with a child. For me, the most important things were the volume not being too loud, and the headphones being flexible/nimble enough to be sat on. Trust me, kids are going to destroy anything you give them given enough time.... These fit the bill nicely. They're comfy on the head, have volume maxed out at 85 or 95db (go with the former, and ideally, keep it lower if possible to protect their ears!) and you can essentially mangle these into a ball, and they just bounce straight back. No worries about breaking them, at least for the strap. The drivers are obviously going to be more fragile, but these are covered with plenty of padding, so hopefully they will survive the year... They're easy to setup via BT, and paired with her little portable music player immediately. She's not old enough to have a phone yet, but I have no doubt it'll pair instantly with any modern phone, without issue. JLab tend to make pretty decent products for a budget-friendly price tag, and these do the job I needed them to well.

Look stylish. Love the sound limiter. Good quality for price.
These jlab buddies headphones are great quality and have some nice features They fold for storage and portability. The colour is nice, even though states pink they are primarily a deep pink/red colour. They connected easily to Bluetooth and were easy to control. The headset is adjustable and the ear covers are really soft and cosy and feel gentle on the skin. The sound limiter is a great feature and gives me a a a keen peace of mind. Sound quality is decent enough. I mean it is t perfect but for children it’s just fines The price is good for a budget brand and the build quality is sturdy so a good buy. I would happily spend this on kids headphones as always reluctant to spend a fortune as they may well lose them or break them.

Pocket Money Headphones That Survive Kids & Still Sound Decent
These JLab JBuddies Pop Kids Headphones are a cracking little set for smaller heads. The ear cushions are soft and comfy, and the headband sits nicely without clamping down like it’s trying to win an arm wrestle. They also feel sturdier than you’d expect at this price, which matters when they’re being handled by someone whose hobbies include dropping things, twisting things, and generally testing gravity. Pairing with Bluetooth was painless on my end. They connected straight away and stayed stable, although you can only have them linked to one device at a time, so there’s no hopping between tablet and phone without re-pairing. Volume is spot on for children: loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud you’re silently Googling ear defenders for yourself. Sound quality is perfectly fine for kids’ videos, music, and games, though I did notice a slight audio delay on Bluetooth. It’s not dramatic, but it can be noticeable if they’re watching something where lip-sync matters. Using the AUX cable sorted that instantly, with no lag at all. Battery life has been solid so far. Mine arrived with plenty of charge, and they’ve held up well with regular use. A charging cable is included, but it’s USB-C to USB-C only, so if you’re charging from an older plug or a standard USB port, you may need to use your own cable or adapter. Not a disaster, but worth knowing before you’re rummaging through the junk drawer at bedtime. For under £25 at the time I bought them, they feel like very good value. They look fun, they’re comfortable, they’re simple to use, and they seem built to cope with the realities of child ownership. If you want a budget-friendly pair that doesn’t feel flimsy, they’re well worth the money. Pros Comfortable soft ear cushions for small ears Headband fits without feeling overly tight Easy Bluetooth pairing and straightforward controls Volume level suitable for children AUX option avoids Bluetooth audio delay Feels robust enough for everyday kid use Good value for the price Cons Bluetooth can have slight audio lag for videos Only connects to one device at a time

Good for kids -- up to about 9 for my kids
Loved by my 9 year old who absolutely ruins the wires on wired headphones. Don't know how he does it. Anyway, these are sized for children. He is 9 and he is near the limit on size. They do extend in length, but not in breadth, so a wider head would have trouble sooner, or have to live with more of a squeeze from these headphones. They came with a TRS cable, but the bluetooth worked immediately from an android tablet, which is his primary use case. Battery life remains good. I've not seen if/how the safe volume feature works -- as he just turns it up, I am relying on it to keep him honest.

Did not come with the charger cable, as shown in the picture. Only headphones and aux cable.
