Excellent book for defining trend!
This is a book I found on the website stockcharts.com. It is excellent for defining (or attempting to define) a change in trend. Is trend continuing? Declining? Trend intact? If this is relevant to you, you will find this book very helpful. I bought this book used; arrived on time, almost new. Thanks!!

Great introduction to technical analysis
A great introduction but also good for experienced analysts that want a quick reference.

Can I add even some more stars?!!!!!
I ordered this book a couple of weeks ago. Best bang (book) for the buck. This man explains charting in a concise and easy to understand manner. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN which is a lot to say about a charting book (SNOOZE). I learned more about chart analysis from this book than I did from a live course that was over 100 times the price of this book. Of course, charting is speculation to begin with, but if you want to know how the pros react -- well this guy tells you exactly what you need to know.

Clear, concise and very helpful.
Clear and concise. The narrative, typesetting, charts, large size of the book all work together to make this a very clear & helpful reference text for trading chart reversal and continuation patterns. The heart of each pattern is explained concisely without getting too technical. Also what a pleasure not to have to strain my eyes.

Stuff That Every Trader Should Know.
What's the difference between and wedge and a triangle? How can a declining flag be bullish indicator? Good stuff.

Likely a good book for beginners
Likely a good book for beginners. If you're looking for a cursory glance at trend following, this will do. But if you want in depth information, or advanced information. This isnt it. The book is probably about twice as long as it needs to be. Each bull chapter is followed by a bear chapter that is essentially the same strategy reversed. If you're a beginner and want a more in depth information, there are better books.

GOOD INTRO TO PATTERN RECOGNITION
I'm the CEO of MarketCycle Wealth Management, a trend following investment advisory, so I read everything that I can find on trend following. This is a very good beginning/intermediate level book on all of the common patterns that one might find on price charts. Other than higher-highs and higher-lows, etc. there is not much on "trend analysis," so the title is a bit misleading. Beginning traders that want to check out Technical Analysis may get a lot out of this book. Frankly, much of TA doesn't work, but this book concentrates on the parts of Technical Analysis that actually might help traders... again, pattern recognition. This book is worth owning and the price is right.
