I use this cutting board for chopping garlic , shallots and onions. It was a replacement for a similar board of lower quality. What I noticed right away was the superior wood . It is much denser and looks as if it will hold up to daily use for a long time. The convex center of the board perfectly matches the curve of the chopping knife allowing you to rock the blades and mince your garlic. I also like the little rubber feet which keep the board from slipping when in use. I highly recommend this product.

This product works very well with ulu knives, which I prefer over the mezzaluna. Tje wood was extremely dry, I had to apply many coats of food grade mineral oil and it soaked it all up. The board arrived with a chip in one corner but that is due to it being mailed in a bubble mailer. Overall the board is great, there is a small divot on the bottom where it was mounted for turning the board which is a shame since it isnt reversible unless you are okay with catching food particles. I would say it is a good product but you definitely need to oil it first.

In the webite photo the chopping board looks like it is made from a single piece of wood.. It is NOT!jointed with seams .. Still a good value buy

Yes, this is the right size for any mezzaluna; however, the sanded finish is rough. Even treating with food-grade mineral oil and ending with Boos cream didn't help. However, however, it is completely usable.

solid little board, but it was a bit rough. Give it a sanding and hit it with chopping block oil and now it is very nice.

Not thrilled by the choice and finish of the wood. It feels very rough. The corners are rough enough to catch some fabrics.

This is a cutting board with a useful twist--depression to keep your herbs from running away from your mezzaluna. Works great with this mezzaluna

This replaced a much thinner and less sturdy herb chopping block that I have had for years. When the old one broke and could no longer be repaired. I saw this one. I wish I had bought this one all those years ago. It is brilliant. It is about the same size. But it is sturdy and strong. It is thick enough that it is not going to break in two.

The product is just as described, it is well made and beautifully finished. Was bought to go with a carved cooking knife I was given as a present so suits me perfectly. Downside is that it is a bit expensive. I bought a mezzaluna as a present and the complete set with knife was the same price. Not used much yet but hoping this will last well.

I have had this chopping board for 6 weeks and have used it for chopping herbs, onion and garlic. At first I loved it but within a month the edges have turned black and it has split as well.What is your procedure for returning this? as I expected it to last much longer than this. Very disappointed.
