Crucial CT4G3S1067M 4 GB (DDR3/DDR3L, 1066 MT/s, PC3-8500, SODIMM, 204-Pin) Memory for Mac

I have a 10 year old MacBook Pro that I’ve recently started using again for some research - mostly web browsing and word processing but also - critically - virtual machines. The stock 2GB (20% of which reserved for graphics) was just not cutting it. Thankfully these old MBPs are straightforward to upgrade. I checked the compatibility on Crucial’s website and ordered the part with Amazon. The upgrade is easy for anybody who can use a screwdriver and follow instructions, but this is going to vary depending on your computer. It is usually straightforward on most computers, but every now and again you’ll get a particularly awkward model. It would be worth checking the RAM upgrade procedure for your machine before buying. The RAM has been installed for about a week now and has been working great. It’s good practice to check the memory after install, but to be honest a bad module usually gives itself away pretty quickly. In terms of compatibility, reliability, and price, I don’t hesitate to buy Crucial memory.

Bought this as an upgrade for my MacBook 5,1 , it already had 4GB in it (2x2GB) so i took 1x of the 2GB out and put this 4GB one in making the total 6GB and it works flawlessly. So if your looking to upgrade the memory your trusty Aluminium MacBook from 2008? This is the module to buy! If you buy 2 of these you can max it out at 8GB!

Crucial seem.to be the way to go for ram . Haven't been disappointed. Noticed an immediate improvement in performance . Easy to install too

After hours of research etc. bought the 4GB for my Mac. The RAM was Installed following step by step instructions and YouTube just to make sure that all was in order. Installing RAM is not a major thing and Mac actually make it quite easy. Everything worked perfectly since end of April (when it was purchased) and today - the RAM failed and the Mac is inoperable until I buy a new one ,(or the sellers do the honorable thing and replace this failed RAM!) Very frustrated and feel completely cheated! Was sold a dud. *UPDATE* After the frustration I expressed in my original review - Crucial got in contact with me and highlighted the Lifetime Guarantee they have in place for their products. I sent the old RAM back and they replaced it with new. Am hopeful all will be well now ... ( for longer than 6 weeks!!? ) but am relieved and impressed with the back up and after sales service. Thank you Crucial.

Perfect ram company , good quality, I have a faster laptop now , easy to install , was send safe in a protected package, I am happy!

Crucial heeft een goede reputatie. Ik had een oude laptop die bij videoweergave regelmatig een BSD in Windows 10 genereerde. Nieuw geheugen heeft dit opgelost, en de boel draait merkbaar soepeler. Niet goedkoop, wel goed.

Per il mio HP G62 con 2 ram da 2Gb a 1333 (di serie) ho preso due ram Crucial da 4Gb a 1066, arrivando così al massimo per il mio notebook, 8Gb. Dal sito Crucial, facendo lo scan, mi dava compatibile quella da 1600, che ho acquistato ma non andava, quindi poco attendibile. Dopo qualche ricerca ho scoperto che avendo un i3-350M ed una scheda madre intel Hm55, potevo avere due banchi da 2Gb a 1333 o due da 4Gb a 1066 o andava in crash il sistema. Consiglio di usare Cpu-Z e verificare il tipo di ram effettiva, se avete la mia stessa configurazione (CPU e MB) con queste andate sul sicuro. Perché la frequenza massima supportata resta 1066Mhz.

Lo recomiendo al 100 % llego bastante a tiempo, la envoltura de plastico en la que viene se remueve con facilidad sin tener que recurrir a unas tijeras, el aumento de ram en mi macbook no se nota en el dia a dia, pero en aplicasiónes que requieren de mucha ram (xcode, photoshop, etc) si que se nota la diferencia, ademas el precio muy atractivo.
