Whoa indeed
My 2, 3 and 5 year old children adore this. Because it only has one button it is really easy for them to use, especially for the youngest whom the gift was intended for. Nice balance of lights and noise which the kiddos love but not too much to drive you crazy. The only thing i do not like is that if it is inactive for awhile it does not come back on by pressing the button, you have to move the switch off and back on again at the bottom of the car. Which a just turned two year old may not be able to do. The car comes with aaa batteries but you need to buy a 9v battery for the remote.

Not very responsive
It looked good but the button on the remote didn't work all the time, shame as it did look great, but a kid can't learn cause and effect if there is no effect.Sent back for refund.

Really great toy, would recommend
Fab well loved toy. Been used fairly regular for the past month since we got it and no change of batteries yet.Not too noisy when in use, as some can startle little ones with the mechanical noises. My little man is 1 year and can make it move a bit with the remote but prefers toy to do it, in another 6 months I think he will get the hang of it, but for now loves chasing it!

A worthy addition to the toy box!
This was bought as a first remote control car for my 14 month old. He took to it straight away and could easily control it with the one button which is really clever. Press once to go forwards, then the next time you press the button it rotates on the spot, then press it again and it goes forward again, over and over again. Really easy for littleuns to use. However not so easy to get the batteries in! The car comes with batteries included and you need to buy a 9v battery for the remote, which I did. I started unscrewing the back off the remote thinking that must be where the battery goes, then it all fell to pieces with components hanging out! I realised that you only need to unscrew the red plastic bit on the bottom to slide the battery in. I managed to fit it all back together with no harm done. Should have read the instructions but presumed I was smart enough to put a battery in a remote. Very wrong, but in my defence the screw in the bottom is easily missed. Be warned, both the car and remote eat batteries, but it's worth it. Not overly keen on the colours, but the window with all the cogs and LEDs is cool. Works really nicely on hard floor and carpet too and takes a crash well. Really good toy and my son has learnt a new 'remote control' skill which is great :)

probably suitable for older children
Lovely item, but 18 months is way too young. My two-year-old still can't quite get this, he'd rather just pushes along

Stylish with high build quality
Very very cute sturdy design- a big hit with my nephew but also me and my brother in law! The single button takes a second to get around but once you do it’s incredibly simple and intuitive to use- the first press makes it go forwards then if you release and press again the car turns. We found that the car runs on the same frequency as another brand of RC car, so you can’t readily race them, but the build quality and aesthetic is really top notch and very cute.

Fab first remote car for a toddler :)
My two year old son loves his remote controlled car. It's fun and bright and has flashing lights. He likes it chasing him around. Works on carpet as well as hard wood floors. It's not the fastest so don't expect a race car but still a decent speed. It has one button so easy for a toddler to use, and adults! Bought two more for my niece and nephew for Christmas and they loved theirs too. Highly recommended!

A good buy
My grandson loves this. He is nearly two and can operate it himself. The button has two, alternating, modes: either straight forward or spinning. The problem with this is if his finger slips off the button the next press sends it spinning, not the way intended. Having said that, at his age he doesn't really care where it goes as long as it does. He had it for Christmas and the batteries are still going strong. I would have given it 5 stars except that the remote only has a range of about 5 feet. Other reviewers have noted that it goes into battery saving mode quite quickly, but the lo has worked out that when it "goes bye byes" he only has to press the small button behind the dome to set it off again.
