I got this for menopausal adjustment and wow. It also seems to be allowing me to build muscle again. My legs have suddenly responded to the gym in a way they haven't for years. I'm able to focus and retain medical training. Also, it does something to the face! It's weird, but it looks tighter or younger. Shrug. Fine with me. It DOES take some finessing, tho. If taken in too high a dose, or too late in the day, it can cause insomnia, for sure. So you have to watch that. It DID cause some acne in me as well. I also had to wear deodorant for the first time in years!! My advice would be to start small, one half tab every other day, then evaluate in a week. It takes that long to kind of stabilize and see how it will affect you. Then add or subtract as needed. Currently, I take one half of a tab, no more than one morning per week and one half of a DHEA tab about two mornings per week. That seems to be all I need.

Good supplement, but for me it has too many side effects like others have mentioned. Wish, I could get a very small dose that released throughout the day. Then, probably would not have side effects as much.

I use 1/2 tab under the tongue which is 5 mg every morning. This seems to be helpful, although it took about a week before adapting to the effects. I've been using this product for over a month now, and would highly recommend trying it if you need some hormonal balancing. I tried a similar product in the past which didn't work and seemed to cause problems, but now I know I was taking too high of a dose. Suggest 5 mg early in the day dissolved under the tongue and keep at it for at least a week to see if it helps you.

Pregnenolone is a lozenge and it is taken sub lingual, which means under the tongue. It doesn't taste bad but it takes about 20 minutes to dissolve which is a bit annoying, but whatever. I need to take it because my blood levels were low.

Solid product. I just take one tablet a few times a week. I think the upper suggested limit of five tablets a day is probably too much for most people. I definitely notice more energy and less "brain fog" on the days I take it. Maybe even a little bit of an elevated mood. The only minor downside is if I take it for a few days in row I get a few pimples on my face.

This the second pregnenolone supplement I've tried. The first was the regular oral kind that you ingest. For both, I split the pill/capsule into about tenths and after a few days I got quite a few pimples on my face and neck. I didn't notice any other effects after using for about 5 days - good or bad. As far as this brand and type, the taste is definitely ok and seems to dissolve quick enough under the tongue but I was only using one tenth of a tablet.
