Hello, thanks for your question, yes, for the reset you will need to press and hold the up and down buttons for at least 10 seconds, release the buttons when the K1 switches off, and then restart the camera.(No data will be lost). if you have any questions, feel free to contact us on our technical support line at 866-477-3687 option 3

Q: Can you take photos to download with this one

This FLIR device is not capable for pictures. It is more like a hardened device for use by firefighters in finding the seat of the fire or tracking hot spots. We use our industrially for finding and correcting loose electrical connections and for insulation surveys. Often use mobile phone to snap a picture of the screen if it is unusual or to meet needs for communication,
