The Tamune closet island is a tedious assembly but definitely worth the effort. The island comes in TWO packages, mine were a day apart. The second package was delivered on a rainy day while my husband and I were at work and the package got soaked. Despite that, all the pieces inside were dry and damage free. All that to say, it comes very well packaged. The instructions are very clear and complete with pictures. All the pieces are very well made and overall it’s extremely sturdy. I really feel like it’s incredible quality for the price. I’m thrilled with the size. For reference our closet is 10x12 with 14” deep built ins (IKEA Pax) and it is seriously perfect for the center. Idk why, but there just aren’t many closet island out there and I truly am so happy that this one exists. It’s elegant in appearance and would probably go with just about any decor style. It’s a classic trim and not overly modern like some of the other islands I viewed. Although the instructions were clear, it did take several hours to build (I built it solo). It would probably go a bit faster with two people. It is heavy but if you assemble it where it’s going, it’s really not tough to bring in piece by piece. I know this review was long, but $400+ isn’t a small amount of money for most folks and if you’re like me, it’s worth doing some extra research before dropping that kind of cash. The TLDR is: great quality, looks beautiful, worth the time it takes to assemble

I’m actually really impressed with this piece. As long as you go slow and follow the directions while looking at the pictures, it is not hard to put together but does take a little while. It’s good quality for the price.

Fits perfectly and has lots of storage. It’s made out of pressed board but sturdy. Perfect for a big closet with the room

We love it, took me about 2.5 hours to put together by myself. It has all the space we were looking for, added the extra drawers is great.

Very functional. It fits perfectly in our walk-in closet. I put it together by myself, which it takes a little longer, but wasn’t bad.

Countertop was visibly damaged but worked it out with Tamune. Besides that, great looking.

Perfect for our walk in closet. It did come in a lot of pieces and needed fully assembled- luckily my husband is handy! Love the finished product and usability of the dresser. I may replace the cushion to something more comfortable and cute. Now to fill up all the drawers!

Love it! Takes a good bit of time to put together but it works well in my closet.
