KD-200-110 Digital General Purpose Mini Scale

This Tanita KD-200-110 Digital Scale is extremely simple to use. The On/Tare button can be used repeatedly as you add food to the same dish. It uses A/C power. The stainless steel tray removes easily for cleaning and is large enough so it doesn't cover the LED display. The LED display is clear in just about any light except direct sun. The scale weighs instantly. I absolutely recommend this scale for weighing less than 1000 grams which is its upper limit. I also have a Tanita bathroom scale which has worked flawlessly over the years.

Great scale! I love how I can use it with either batteries or the supplied a/c adapter. It has stayed accurate for as long as I have owned it (going on a year now) and I can tell I will have it for many years to come. Solidly built and easy to clean since the metal platform comes right off. Easy to read, tare, and use in general. I have always known Tanita scales to be the best and this one definitely does not disappoint!

I have an older model taint. I adore it. The only reason I needed this one is that it measures in single grams (my other one measured in 5 g. increments). I bet our old tanita is 20 years old and it still works as well as ever. I'm pretty sure i've only changed the batteries once in my older model. I LOVE Tanita and would not consider another brand in the future.

Demoted one star only because I was disappointed the weight reading doesn't light up. Unfortunately, I have a relatively dark kitchen so I have to turn on a light to read the weight. When cooking I light up my kitchen, but at 5 a.m., when measuring the coffee grains for my morning java ritual, the kitchen light is too much for this ol' gal. I've managed to work around it, but it would have been better if I didn't have to. Also, the scale tends to default at .5 oz intervals. For me not a big deal, but if you're looking to something more precise, you' have to work it or look elsewhere.

Very nice scale. I would have bought it in white or brushed nickel if those choices were available. The off yellow/beige is not conducive for a more modern look.

Can't go wrong with a Tanita!! They used to be considered the Cadillac of scales when they were made in Japan! Since they started makin them in China they aren't the bees knees anymore but still built well for the price tag...
