This belt is very tight and is extremely difficult to install on a Frigidaire FWT645RHS1
As you may have read in other reviews, this belt does not install nearly as easily as you may have seen in an installation video. I'm convinced the video is showing a different larger belt or else the installer is putting on the same old (pre-stretched) belt that he took off prior to starting the video. This belt seems at least 1" to 2" too short for my washing machine and has very little if any stretchiness. Another review mentioned using vise grip pliers to hold the belt to the big wheel as you turn it. This technique what finally allowed me to get it on. It may also help to use a blow dryer to warm it up and make it stretch easier.I rotated the big wheel to the left as I put put the belt on. First, I put loops the belt around the bottom cylinder (grooves facing in). Then I stretched the belt part way around the big pulley, starting on the right hand side of the big wheel. I stretched it by hand until it (barely) reached just left of the top center point.I used the vise grip pliers to lock the belt to the wheel just to the left of top center of the big wheel. As you rotate the big wheel to the left, using a hefty amount of force, use one hand to guide the belt so that it doesn't walk off of the small cylinder at the bottom. Also, make sure that the belt doesn't slip off the back side of the big wheel as you turn it.Once the belt is on, the drum is quite resistant to turning by hand. Being that tight can't be good for the bearings. However, when I connected the power to the washer (with the top and back covers still off), and put it on spin cycle, it appears to be working correctly. It sounds the same way that it always did (a bit like a tiny jet engine when it is going full speed). I hope that the belt stretches out to a reasonable size soon.Check to see that the belt is roughly the same distance from the edge of the wheel all the way around. If it isn't, you can adjust this by pushing the belt just before it reaches the big wheel as you are turning the wheel.Be careful not to catch your thumb in between the wheel spokes! (ouch!).Be sure to leave the power disconnected while working on it.

Frigidaire 134051000 Belt for Washer
Product arrived the date on schedule....It was very easy to replace the belt. I actually went to YouTube to do research. I knew if the only thing I needed to do was replace the broken belt, it would be easy and a cheap fix. But after I placed the belt and placed back cover back... it was too good to be true. The washing machine went through the regular washing but when it went to the final rinse. That's when the washing machine started to make loud noises as it spun very fast. I knew the two shocks in the washing machine were fine and not broken. I also knew the way the machine was spinning it was not balanced. So there was only one realization. I needed to replace the bearing. The Model #41742052100 Kenmore Washer bearing cost 200 dollar. The bearing is actually one unit with the drum attached to it. And also the washer costs 30 dollars. That's just parts only. I went instead to a used appliance store and bought a refurbished Kenmore washer for what would have cost me just on parts alone. I just spent 12 dollars (cost of the belt) to diagnose and find out it was not worth to fix my Kenmore washer. If I would have used a repairman, It would easily have cost me around one hundred and fifty to two hundred dollars just to replace the belt and tell me I needed new bearings and would have charged another 500 dollars to do that work. The replacement washer was a newer Kenmore model than my older unit. It was also a top loading one vs. my front loading. Overall I am satisfied with belt replacement. It did what it was suppose to do but it was not just the belt needed replacement. This belt is also an OEM belt not an aftermarket. It is a 5/5 for me. It's just too bad my washer had more problems than a broken belt.

The belt appeared about 2 inches too small and didn't ...
The belt appeared about 2 inches too small and didn't seem to fit. I searched the web and found a number of appliance repair professionals who explained how to install the belt. They explained the belt is designed to stretch enough to fit and remain tight.SOLUTION: Wear gloves. Here is how I installed the belt. I placed the belt over the motor pulley and then guided the belt on to the drum pulley with one hand while rotating the drum pulley with the other hand. About two thirds of the way around I was absolutely sure the belt was too small and wouldn't fit but followed the appliance repair professionals advice and kept going until the belt was completely on the drum pulley. Once completely on the drum pulley, I noticed the belt wasn't centered on the motor shaft. I rotated the drum and moved the belt to the center of the motor shaft. The washer works great now.

It spins me right round baby, right round.
It's super tight to get on and I never found a good way, but eventually I managed to keep it on while spinning the big pulley and now it works great. My washing machine wouldn't spin up to high speeds with a really heavy load at first, then increasingly light loads wouldn't spin and would be dripping wet at the end.Everything is back to normal with the new belt! Everything spins fast!

my washer was chirping terribly on agitation cycles only
Ok, I was little hesitant to order this after reading a couple of these reviews about size and fit. However, my washer was chirping terribly on agitation cycles only, spin cycles were fine, so I bit the bullet and ordered. Another site wanted $22 plus $8 shipping for the same item. It took me 10 minutes to replace the belt. About 8 of that was to remove and attach all of the screws and fittings. I had already talked myself into a new washer at $800, but thought maybe a last ditch effort for $11 was worth a shot. I couldn't be happier. Ten minutes and $11 saved me $800+. The chirping is gone and the washer works wonderfully.

Worked great.
The belt fit but at first look it seemed short. It takes a little effort to put it on but it works great and was an exact match to my old one.

"SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF GRIEF AND DO NOT BUY THIS BELT"
Although this belt has the same part # as the original that I am replacing, it is made in Brazil while the original was made in the U.S.A...This new replacement belt was a good 2-3 inches too short and impossible to install and even if you could get it on the stress on the drive motor and tub bearings would be horrendous....The old old original belt was #131276300 before they changed it to 134051000 and was also made in the U.S.A....So I phoned around to some of the older repair shops and found one that had some old stock and purchased the old old original belt #131276300...It installed like it should and the washer is now working beautifully....Hope this helps you all and here's a message to the manufacturer "FIX THE PROBLEM>>>IT"S VERY FRUSTRATING"

3” too short!!!
This is not the same length as the belt removed from our washer, despite having the same part number. We’ve ordered this belt from another supplier also - not the correct size either!! There is an error in this new replacement part!! Will not fit!!!
