KNIPEX Cobra Water Pump Pliers (Plastic Grip, Red, 180 mm)

A must have for your tool bag. This small beast will take on any task you throw at it, as long as the jaws can hold them of course. Really love them for the compact size and has become an essential tool for my EDC. Definitely a bit expensive here in India but if you can afford it then go for it.

These are great water pump pliers, the right size for use around the house. The grips have a nice non-slip texture. Knipex is known for its quality tools, but the finish could be a little bit better (the forging is excellent, but the grinding is a bit uneven). Despite this, the insides of the jaws are well made and finished.

I did plenty of research and reading when deciding on a pair of adjustable grips/pliers, as I wanted a pair I could rely on again and again and keep for life. I'm glad I chose the Knipex and paid out for quality. Whilst they are not the cheapest set of pliers, their craftsmanship is superb. They are a breeze to use, machined well and I expect them to last a lifetime if cared for properly. The button adjustment is very effective in locking the pliers, yet is easy to use and adjust as necessary. The multi angle jaws provide good grip on a multitude of surfaces and the handles are just right for me. The coating is a thin and very slightly spongy material, than feels comfortable in bare hands and not too big when wearing gloves. I prefer slim handles like this, rather than excessively padded ones as it is easier to get access into tight spaces and it feels easier to transfer turning force. Would definitely buy Knipex again if/when I need another size.

I’ve even started buying these as Christmas gifts to friends because I use mine so much. Highly recommend these pliers to anyone needing a reliable, high-quality tool.

I made the mistake and fell for a set of cheap noname pliers. But working with them was horrible. Don't be as stupid as I was. "Who is buying cheap buys double". Buy the best and work will be fun like driving a Porsche.
